roof wrap?

It might turn out good, but I'm not too sure. If you try it and don't like it you can always remove it.

Is that big enough for an LS roof?
Ive been waiting to see an LS with a black roof. Hoping i dont have to wait til i find a white 06 to see it lol

one member did it and said he didn't like it, so he tore it off. you can find a few on cardomain ... I know of a white on somewhere.

jmarzilli did it. I have a pic of the white one. Im looking to see full car shots from different angles.

Mine is painted black. I like it but my car is dark blue so you can't really see it unless your up close.

I plan to be using some 3M vinyl on my roof in April or May. Black carbon fiber vinyl on a sort of gunmetal car.

I wouldn't use vinyl because the back pillar and roof are one piece of metal so your going to see the seam and be able to feel a height difference.

I was thinking about doing mine due to clear coat failure. Still trying to decide what color. I was contemplating on doung rear pillars too.

Actually they aren't. The weld between the roof and "C" pillar is one of the hardest welds to do right. On some LSes the seam is visible, with a critical eye from the right angle. The seam looks like a wavy section, about half-way on the pillar.

Lol well I didn't know that! But most cars have some sort of lip or channel there and makes for an easy way to hide the transition, the LS doesn't have that so you would be able to see and feel it

Has anybody tried plasti dipping their ls

I plan to Dip mine in May. A gunmetal base with steel blue mixed into the satin clear top coat. Along with the 3M carbon fiber roof.

Just remember the trick with Plasti Dip is having it thick enough to peel off. It needs to bind to itself. If to thin of coats it will just keep breaking apart when and if you remove.

When I did my window trim I didn't use enough masking tape on the edges and had some over spray and it was a pita to remove

3M Scotchprint 1080
I have yet to trim the sides going front to back yet so don't beat me up for that :p
