lol volunteer military. What do you expect? People who enlist usually do it as a last resort! or they aren't smart. make it so the idiot can even use it lol. I was in the military for 5 years and let me tell you we got some geniuses work over there. Not disrespecting our fighting military over seas.

That's correct. I sent him the money months ago. Then when he offered the refund I accepted and then he tells me that he doesn't have my money anymore; that he will need to sell some more parts before he can pay me backI'm not very experienced with paypal but the adminstrators say that they are unable to refund my money because his account is insufficient. Anybody have any tips to help?
Whoa....this is really BS . You sent him money , expect goods in return but he then admits no parts and no money? WTF ..because he spent it . This guy is obviously a total douche .
A couple of my SWAT buddies and I are plannin a fishin trip up there sometime soon(Tennessee) . If someone can get me an address we will pay a personal visit to this deadbeat and I'll get my $$ back and yours too . We will gladly take a few hours out of our trip to seek justice .
It's not really military time. The rest of the world uses the 24 hour clock as the norm. They also say date/month/year, not month/date/year like we in the US.
And having served my country I personally resent the implication that those that serve are less than intelligent. It is quite an honor to be part on an organization that guarantees the right of others to say stupid things.

That is why I always use a credit card to fund PayPal purchases if the vendor is unknown to me. I had this happen to me and lost my money when a vendor closed up shop and left me hanging. After I started to use a credit card a vendor failed to deliver and PayPay found in my favor but could not refund my money. But the credit card did charge back PayPal. They were not happy, but I got my money back.That's correct. I sent him the money months ago. i understand that sometimes it takes a while to reply to someone because that person might be too busy. BUT, when you are advertising selling parts and you put yourself in that position you should have set that time aside to sell those parts or only post the parts that are actually off the car for sale. this guy sounds like a total douche and i'm sorry for all of those fellow members who have been scammed by him. i wish someone would have started this thread earlier so that not as many would have fallen into this but at least it surfaced now rather than later. Gipp is yet to log on and defend himself so maybe he already split with that money. let it be a lesson to the rest of us here...we are still open to scam artists even though we have a tight-knit group and we should definitely look after each other when we can. there are members on this board which i wouldn't even hesitate for one second to do business with, but you never know with everyone...

I think ample time has been given for him to respond to us and make things right well before I even created this post . I 've already jumped the gun and formed a conclusion , he's a tool......could you please ask him Whats up? And if he's not able to man up and come on here himself then maybe he could relay some sort of lame excuse via YOU . And maybe even let us know how he plans to handle his affairs....like a man.....or a douche bag .

I guarantee you he has more of my money in parts than anyone else on here so it's definitely in my best interest to get a hold of him as well. He hasn't been on his email account either so it's not like he's just avoiding LVC.

gipp, after reading this thread, i was giving you the benefit of the doubt. as you can see, i recommended the op try to give you a little more time. now that youve surfaced, i dont see why you should be upset with speedy. he apparently has waited several weeks for his parts or a refund. it is not unjust that he is a little frustrated over it (regardless of how little money may have been involved- like he said, it's the principle).

I believe you have misinformed once again Gipp. Although Paypal decided that you were in fault I have not received a refund. You have no money in your account so they can't give me a refund. Here is the email I received from Paypal.
"We were able to recover $0.00 USD from the seller and processed a refund to you.
What happens next
We're working with the seller to recover the rest of your refund. We'll let you know when the seller is able to full refund your payment.
If you've resolved this problem, you can cancel this claim anytime."
So where does it say that I got my money back? I didn't and that is why I will continue to try to get my money back until it actually happens. I understand if you're hurting for money but you shouldn't have ever spent the money I sent you until you had sent me the parts. This is total bull:q:q:q:q just pay me my money and settle your debts elsewhere.

If the paypal account is linked to bank account which from my records his is, wouldn't they just draw your refund out of the account?

Well look who finally responded . Glad to see you back . Like I said initially I didnt want to create the post in the first place but your lack of communication left me no choice . It was sort of an effort on my part to collect and see if anyone else on here had a similiar problem . And what a surprise....I'm not the only one .
You ask why didnt I e-mail you or PM you....well ....I did . If you like I will post them up here with time and date stamps included .
As far as the hard ass approach....it is a tactic to elicit a response . Very common interrogation procedure.....ever see the movie
A few Good Men....when Nicholson is on the stand......Tom Cruise used the same tactic . And in this case it worked , you came on here didnt you? and offered a lot of information to further incriminate yourself .
I am sorry to hear you have fallen on hard times . I sympathize with you and wish you luck gettin back on your feet . I do believe CKIDWELL and I will give you the time you need . Just give us a time frame , commmunicate with us , and dont leave us hangin .
