Oh, nice hood by the way... :Beer
Thanks everyone! After Geno is done with the car it's going back up to my autobody guy for some TLC. StraDog, I've seen pictures of your car before, and I have to tell you it looks unbelieveably sharp. In fact, one of the things I regret is not having the upper chrome and grill painted initially, so this will probably happen once he gets his hands on the car again.
I'm also having the valve covers and runners(if I still have them) painted to match the car... :monkey:
DonLino, I kinda agree about the emblems. My buddy painted them to match the car, and initially they were going on the valve covers. However, Tommy didn't want to hide them, so we ended up throwing them there. Trust me...everyone hates them...
My girlfriend told me that's VERY Guinea. :I
But I'm italian damn it!
Geno suggested a long time ago that they be moved to the bottom of the pillars...at the very least...like the old Shelbys...hmm maybe soon....
I DO however have to disagree about the dash. Maybe it's personal taste, but it's something you really have to see in person because the pics aren't the greatest, and in fact, it's one of my favorite things about the car.
I spent hours and hours sanding those strips...and Tommy spent additional hours priming and prepping them. He was also extremely meticulous about doing the same intensive paint process as on the car itself- the whole dash is cameleon. Those are NOT spray painted...
Tommy has built a reputation soley on custom restores of classics and high end autos...he's a freak...and I've never seen him do anything "half way."
Later I'll post some pics of my car stripped down...and some more detailed pics of how the dash was done... :zgreenbou
