I'm a bit biased here cause it's my car! Please don't flame me, it's just my very subjective opinion..;)

A few people asked for pics of my car, so here they are. The paint is called Imola Ice- it's a very subtle cameleon. It's a Standox color imported from Germany.

Pretty sharp paintjob and that cowl hood looks awesome. Let me tell you a few things I hate though, those cobra emblems on the b pillar look like :q:q:q:q. The spray painted dash also looks pretty cheesy as well as the intrument cluster. Other than that you got a sharp looking mark8.

Very nice ride. I love the paint, rims are decent, and a cool interior. :Beer

Next on my list : Trans flush - Upgrade the 1-2 springs if necessary - Some sharp 18" chrome rims - New paintjob /w interior trim painted.

Oh, nice hood by the way... :Beer

Thanks everyone! After Geno is done with the car it's going back up to my autobody guy for some TLC. StraDog, I've seen pictures of your car before, and I have to tell you it looks unbelieveably sharp. In fact, one of the things I regret is not having the upper chrome and grill painted initially, so this will probably happen once he gets his hands on the car again.

I'm also having the valve covers and runners(if I still have them) painted to match the car... :monkey:

DonLino, I kinda agree about the emblems. My buddy painted them to match the car, and initially they were going on the valve covers. However, Tommy didn't want to hide them, so we ended up throwing them there. Trust me...everyone hates them...:) My girlfriend told me that's VERY Guinea. :I

But I'm italian damn it! :) Geno suggested a long time ago that they be moved to the bottom of the pillars...at the very least...like the old Shelbys...hmm maybe soon....

I DO however have to disagree about the dash. Maybe it's personal taste, but it's something you really have to see in person because the pics aren't the greatest, and in fact, it's one of my favorite things about the car.

I spent hours and hours sanding those strips...and Tommy spent additional hours priming and prepping them. He was also extremely meticulous about doing the same intensive paint process as on the car itself- the whole dash is cameleon. Those are NOT spray painted...:)

Tommy has built a reputation soley on custom restores of classics and high end autos...he's a freak...and I've never seen him do anything "half way."

Later I'll post some pics of my car stripped down...and some more detailed pics of how the dash was done... :zgreenbou

That is a sweet ride dude. :Beer

Thanks Conti94!

Nice car! ever think about lowering it a little?

Thought about it. Even though the offset on the rims is correct, the lip pushes the tire out enough for there to be rub on the little black lip of the fender wall. Rolling this is not an option, because there's an off chance the paint might crack.

When I added Cobra Bilsteins and new shock mounts to the rear(mine were melted), the "rub" went away, and the car rides and handles nicer. As the car sits now(I actually think slightly lower with the Bilsteins) I'm happy.

anything for you baby....

SergMark, actually the car is quite uniform under direct sunlight(the opposite of most cameleon paints), but on a cloudy day..or at dusk..the paint looks nuts. This is probably what Matt meant since he's one of very few people here who have actually seen my car in person. I used to wish the car shows would be overcast..;)

here's the car under shop lights after it was first painted, then outside...you can see the subtle color differences.... All in all between the base, overlays, and clear the car has 16 coats..:)

With the better light on the bench the dash pieces look much better. That paint is really cool, just ditch that cobra emblem!
