Shift kit yeah or nay on a daily driver?

Wow...

Ummm....

so... should I put the baumann in my car? LOL! :D

I've seen the interface it's cool, dont get me wrong...
and people DO seem happy with it.

people also seem happy with blue condoms when red ones are infinitely superior.

In the end, pick a color and put it on... once you poke it in the hole.. nobody is gonna know what color it is.. unless you're out waving it around.

LMAO

I was obviously being sarcastic lol... not saying the J-mod or SCT are bad but I would use the Baumann kit and use Sniper already...

Meh... Bauman won't hurt your trans so.. hell if you want to spend the $$'s do it... I'll stick with the Jmod.

you FAIL at sarcasm, please dont do that.
lol
Leave it to the experts... with more experience.

I'd use the Baumann kit if you already have it as I mentioned, unless you want to sell it and gather all the stuff needed for the JMod. Either way is up to you, as I don't think you can go wrong with either setup.

Personally I didn't do the Jmod in my case because I wasn't clear with the instructions either. So I wouldn't say the instructions are sketchy, but they are not totally clear either imho...

Baumann helped me greatly with information about setting up their kit and put me in touch with another company (Sonnax) that was very helpful too with information in setting it up correctly with the extra parts I had from Sonnax. I've had zero problems with the kit thanks to the support I got from the two companies...

Go either route and you'll be happy I'm sure. If you get stuck with either, Baumann has good support for their stuff, and there are many people that know the Jmod well around here and other forums that will help set that up too :)

Hey I live in The Atlantic City area of new Jersey, but used to be a truck driver so I know the state pretty well. Is there anyone around that knows how to do the J-mod? I was going to service the tranny anyway so if I can also get that done it would be great. I will pay, Im mechanically inclined but tranny stuff always bothered me. So if your interested let me know, thx

Thx for the info. I was wondering where you were located. I'll be in touch real soon. Im thinking of pulling out my reprogrammer and getting your chip, and pulling off the Flowmaster 50 series mufflers I put on it, there to quite! thx again!

Driller uses baumann and also likes it.

My favorite response... Baumann ROCKS! :D

But my new setup is J-modded. Honestly - performance wise, not that much different to talk about. The Baumann kit is remarkably similar to the J-mod. See for yourself... here.

If it's not something created by Jerry or SCT it's garbage don't use it...

LOL, that's so funny.

does the J-mod do torque correction like the Baumann this it important as it helps the longevity of the trans.

I use baumann and love it

The only thing that the JMOD does is allow quicker flow in the valvebody, filling the accumulators faster, making the shifts quicker. That being said it is well known that the JMOD increases the durability of the transmission.
