The LSKoncepts tube is 3" (76mm)
yes the CAI setup up. Putting the air filter down below. (In front of the lower grille) It was a far to suck that air.
I have an 05 ls v8, was told k&n doesn't make an intake for that this model, what's the part# of the intake.
Yeah seemed kind of useless to me, but didn't want to mess with it if it had some important need. Has any one built a custom intake with the autozone parts and MAF houseing/adapters for the V6... I don't seem to find much on the web... mostly the V8.The bladder is not needed... it makes the intake quieter. I have mine removed.
01lssport - spoke to soon... how did you make the aluminum intake... you get it fabricated or did you buy it?
I have a question for the group? I bought the V8 CAI stainless steel tube from LSKONCEPTS and it is great, but has anyone tried to polish this tube? Is it possible for this to be polished and buffed into a mirror like finish. Has anyone attempted to do this? If anyone has accomplished this would you be willing to tell me step by step of the process.
thanks
^^k and n filters were proven to provide the most air flow. does that mean better performance, in a sense yes. however at what cost? in the same test they were also proven to give the least amount of filtration. amsoil did the test and found out that ac delco filters gave the cleanest air, but the worst flow. fram, flowed the second least amount, and filtered out right in the middle of the other manufacturers. amsoil filtered a little more then k and n but didn't flow quite as much as them. the test pretty much proved that buying an air filter is strictly preference on what the owner wants to gain and sacrifice at the same time.
