lmao oh man

but ima go with werner and say his car cleaner lookin
chrome looks like poop on the LS

and u cn always use zip-ties to put on ur lip lol

i did it with my 240 all me aero was on with zip-ties

yes- my 02 V8 has the woodgrain shifter and wheel, 17" chrome wheels, chromed bumbers, special texture leather seats with lincoln logo, advancetrac, moonroof, alpine stereo w/out changer and has the 1.25" sway bar which is sport.
no spoiler though which I'm fine with

wow, i regret mentioning my lack of spoiler!! I've never heard so much whining anywhere, ever. I am on a Lincoln forum right?

Back to the sport topic, I do not have SST either. (You can still get good shifts through the 1/4 though) In the 1-3 position, the tranny shifts firm and stays in the selected gear. In 4-5 it behaves like regular auto (obviously 4th won't upshift to 5th)

So this adds more confusion on what trim level i have. So far, spoiler and SST are the only options i dont have. Does a Sport require having SST? I would assume so.

I'm happy as long as I have the sport suspension :)

I think the LS's don't look sporty unless they have the spoiler.

In a more sensible manner think of it like this. Chrome usually gets affiliated with the look of elegance in premium packages where with most model cars period the lack of chrome and other excessive trim along with black door trim and black bumper trim ( usually with sport model trimed cars its painted to match ) makes for more of a sporty look regardless of a spoiler.

i got that super duper sport right here

LSD,
GT wing
2.00" sway bars
6 piston big break kit
CF hood, trunk and doors .....

its pretty sweet

=P

i measured it with calipers. 1.250"

see entry #4 in this thread http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=33676&highlight=sway+bar+1+1/4

we have the super duper sport!

You are using my project thread which initially stated the wrong size. If you read in post#24 in there, It states the 1.25" is too big.

When I made the measurement in post #4 I barely had any room to get the measuring tool out from where I measured and it was a guess-timate because the caliper tool changed sizes when I pulled out the tool from the measurement location.

The baby had to cry to admin.....figures....you can't ever back up your own stuff. Now I know you are a little redneck woman....lol....Thats cool I just know my LS looks 10 times better than yours.

And mine is better than yours, cool?

Alright now! I have read all of these posts and opinions are liks a$$holes everyone has one. So, let's keep a civil tongue here and quit the name calling. We are adults you know!

i read mine while it was on the car. is the bar smaller in the middle of the car? i did not measure there. i measured the end at first, then as far in as i could and it was still 1.25 nominal. i'll have to crawl under now. this is driving me nuts for some reason :D

The bar actually gets thicker around where the bushings are and its hard to get a accurate measurement. I put in 1.25" bushings and the bar slid around too much. 30mm was dead on and holding the bar firmly in place.

hey 02LincLS here is something to take into assumption. I dont want to offend you and start more crap on this thread but I doubt you have the sport. If you are not the original owner it is possible that the original owner had the suspension repaired for the common issues and the dealer may have put the sport bar on.

Sounds like you have a good list of others to have fun with anyway.

no offense taken- im sure its not a sport, but i honestly think it has the suspension components- just no SST. i got the car with 32k on it in '05 so i think everything is original. but its certainly possible it was swapped. i just got back in from measuring the middle of the bar (right below the fan) and it was 1.24. i'm an engineer and machinist so i know how to use calipers :D its quite possible that the bar is a smaller diameter where the bushings are. My bar/bushings clang when its cold so i'll probably replace it after the summer- its quiet for now. I'll be sure to measure it and bring this ugly thread back to life when the time comes! :D

Cool, form the other reaserch I have gathered that the sport does have the SST and is one of the outstanding features.

can you put SST in just by swapping the shifter assy inside the car? its the same transmission. i really dont mind my non-sst though- its still all manual up until 4th. mine manually shifts harder than my brothers '00 sport while using sst (which we know is a sport) even before my xcal tune
on SST, does it stay locked in 4th and/or 5th if you floor it?

you can swap in SST with just the shifter, its a fairly common and easy swap from what i've gathered, i've got the link to the walkthrough on here somewhere... i'm doing it myself as soon as i dig out of debt :)

I have no clue, I will have to leave that for someone else to answer.

EDIT: lol he got to it while I was typing, I guess you have the answer...lol!

Hahahaha sure does. Everyone loves that cheap chrome look that you got going on with that bumper grille overlay, fake painted bumper lens, and the cheap nameless brand wheels. Buddy take the rag out of the vagina, its getting a bit to soggy and may be causing more cramps.

I really love how some hillbilly form the Bayou that eats possum soup swears that someone that grew up in the city is a redneck.

The fact is that no one needs to read your petty crap that took this thread way off topic, one of the best reason to have the garbage deleted. Everyone knows yo must really be that immature to cheat with the curse words and be this upset that you must figure out a way to display them by bypassing the " I SAID A BAD WORD " smileys. Do you really think people are gong to take that stuff serious?

Being raised in the swamps of Mississppi, she must actually be one big chick. Chasing down dem gators for some good Cajun cookin!

Whateva man...I am done with this pissing contest....Of coarse someone is not going to admit that there LS is uglier than someone elses..My rims are diablo deltaforce so they are not no names and ADR's are as cheap as knockoffs but whateva....you like your LS and I like mine.....Later Hillbilly

No but I can admit mine is better.

Whats even funnier about that comment is even with the few pics I had the time to take I still got some good feed back. Wheres the love with this post?NOT!!!!!

Now I am the Hillbilly, how ....O'RIGINAL.

No sst, no sport. Sorry buddy you are wrong.

no chrome/sport....chrome/no sport

The link explains that the sport is a $1000 dollar option that lacks the chrome inserts and has no wooden steering wheel amongst others.

DUDE, AGAIN YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

DUDE, AGAIN YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

The more you talk the more you make yourself sound like a hillbilly that needs to go back to school......In the article you pointed out, it is merely pointing out all the features of the test LS they used. Go to this website and it will help you understand where you got confused. They just worded it wrong. Sorry....you are still wrong buddy....old age brings on confusion

No it points out that specific trim. The article that just words things in the wrong way didnt word them wrong dumby. They just left allot out.

You do realize you have the basic of base model LS's right...lol!!!!!!

Old age brings wisdom. That is another well known fact that you just happen to be WRONG ABOUT!!!
All that bog gas has gotten to your brain.
