The consumer report really said nothing about the specific packages that came out for the LS.

The link I gave tells you the package is $1000 and it tells you exactly what you get and it just happens to be from a Lincoln car club ace just like this one. They aren't just explaining that car in general but they are explaining the sport model. Get over it.

Cars been paid off since the day I laid eyes on it. ( not by my parents but by myself ).

Cash in hand. Dealerships eat that up like possum soup or snapping turtle stew straight from the swamps of Mississippi.

can you put SST in just by swapping the shifter assy inside the car? its the same transmission. i really dont mind my non-sst though- its still all manual up until 4th. mine manually shifts harder than my brothers '00 sport while using sst (which we know is a sport) even before my xcal tune
on SST, does it stay locked in 4th and/or 5th if you floor it?

02lincls: I got a sst shifter off of ebay for $48 plus frt. It took about 45 minutes to install it and it works great. You will have to have your car reprogrammed to gain D4 again but the car recognized the shifter immediately. You will love the SST option...

This pretty much became universal with most manufacturers!

Heres my final last way of proving I am correct.

Go to the top and click on search, then type sport into the search field. After that go to the right of that page and highlight Lincoln LS in the box. Click on search and although not every thread out of the hundreds that show up is based on this topic most of them somewhere still have a post that will tell you Non Sports have the chrome, Sports don't have chrome.


Like I said, I myself and others would have taken him a bit more seriously but even after having posts deleted and a verbal warning he still did not get the clue and had to result to insults through name calling.


I guarantee he still will but I am done.

I got a leather shifter ( I use a wooden one ) and steering wheel. Im willing to trade the wheel so yours can be a bit more sport

I don't think thats where hes coming from as much as it sounded like it.


He is probably speaking his opinion as far as the package goes but as far as sucking I think he is talking about the bumper lay out and grille lay out and just that car over all compared to a certain other car is ugly. ( Im trying to not sound Bias )

Don't get caught up with peoples opinions, some people just aren't as sensitive as others and have poor choice of words. I can come of sounding like that at times. My wife and I get into it all the time

Not yet, I took what I could to accent the wheels since that was my highlight at the time. As soon as I get some more I'll post. I got some things coming so I just wanna wait till I get it all done over the next week or so. I don't feel like wasting time that I really don't have.


I gotta wait to get some emblems since some idiot took em off my car but I am working on tips ( cutting the valance and bumper is a Bltch! I give lots of respect to those that did it right ) and lowering the damn thing so once I get to the next level I want to get to they will be up. Vacation hours are coming up!!!

I smoked the ambers in a way and I wanna do the bumper lens next but I don't have a dremel tool anymore so I have to find one to borrow or wait to cough up the 19.99 it cost to get a cheap one. I got the 19.99 but I just cant see myself getting a cheap one..lol!


Here is one of the tips. I actually had to use a drill with a drill bit to make the cut. The drum sander I bought for the drill wasnt cutting it ( no pun intended ) Now I wanna move them up more and smooth down the edges.

Pektel, do you got any tips for cutting into the bumper? PM me with them if so that way this thread can stay on topic.

HOW MANY OF YOU IDIOTS DO NOT REALIZE THAT THEY ONLY MADE 2 TRIM PACKAGES ON THE LS IN 2000 AND THE SPORT TRIM PACKAGE IN 2000 DID HAVE THE CHROME TRIM BUT IN 2001 WHEN THEY INTRODUCED THE PREMIUM TRIM PACKAGE THEY SCRAPED THE CHROME TRIM ON THE SPORTS. I DON'T CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS BECAUSE I HAVE MY ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER THAT SAY: SPORT PACKAGE $1000

Dont you realize you have been ripped off!? Your car is not a sport it does not have the SST and that right there cuts it.

Your suspension was probably replaced like I said to someone else do to the common problems and that is how it got the sport suspension package. Use common sense!

Other packages had the SST but all sports had to have the SST!

I just got through googling 2000 LS sport package. The SST came standard with that package, as did monochromatic or color matched bumpers. I'm thinking that no SST and chome on the bumpers would mean no sport package.

whatever loser.....keep going through life crying to people when they speak up to you....ALL I am trying to do is get everyone to understand that you might be right but that is for the 2001 and up....I am talking about a 2000 model which was different because they only had 2 trim packages not 3 like the 2001 and up.
