I would suspect that they set the limit according to what the cam's specs will support as well as what the rotating assembly can handle, leaving some leeway for reliability. The faster you spin an engine up, the better the parts have to be.

Cool video. I was very proud when i saw it back in the day...unfortunately the LS is on the bottle (lol whats the proper way to say it? Spray? NOS?)
But yea thats the only reason the LS is keeping up.
Can you provide any proof of this? The description in the video says notta..
ouch
By the way, do you still have the video of your ls doing a 0-60 or 0-100 run with the new gears? I run into your thread with the video here and there while researching on stuff and it always bums me out it was taken off before I got to see it.
The 14.2 was done with a Torrie tuneYour not being a dick at all. Your proud of your time and your achievements.
A first gen with the 3 upgrades and the tune being aggressive, can hit around 14.3 I KNOW so because several people I know have done it.
If you don't mind my asking, who tuned your LS that you scored a best of 14.2 with 4.10 gears?
I used your 14.2 as an example. An attempt to provide proof the LS isn't slow by any means. But dont mind me, I talk out of my ass a lot
For the Record, with Stall converter, GT pump, gears, and locker on top of the 3 upgrades, should land your first Gen anywhere around 13.5

My best trap was with a ILLS tune. 98.66mph.
