To start things off i just want to say I love Lincoln Mark VIII. The car is a beautiful piece of machinery. Over the years i have had a couple marks and i feel that it is time to supercharge the one I have. I know it will not be a cheap install and my car is bone stock right now. I might be pushing the envelope a little by not doing any drivetrain upgrades but i think the stock drivetrain can handle a mild boost and tune; I am thinking 400 hp. I found a good deal on a used vortech supercharger kit for a 1998 mustang cobra. It comes with Vortech v-2 supercharger kit
Currently set up for 96-98 mustang cobra (can be used on many other applications with correct bracket and pieces)
<5k miles(turns very tight and smooth)
-V2 supercharger
-bracket for 96-98 cobra mustang
-piping for a custom power pipe intake (customize to your car)
-k&n cone intake filter (new)
-fuel injectors from 03 cobra
-boost gauge and pod
-ss oil feed line(new)
-oil return kit(new)
-2 drive belts(new)
-complete instructions
Quarterhorse tuner (new) - $225
Innovate Wideband O2 sensor (new)
-maf sensor from ford lightning 90mm (new)
Hopefully me and my friend can get this installed without too many issues. wish me luck and i will post pictures soon. Any advice would be helpful.

Good luck with your build. The quarter horse is great but you won't be able to use it for the mark, at least nobody that I know of has made it work yet.
The 03 injectors will need plug adapters, I would think you would be better off getting 47lb ev1 green tops to go with that set up. Cobras are 39lb injectors.
If you are talking about 400 rwhp on stock internals than I would say that's pushing it, but that's just my opinion.

You are gonna need a lot more than you listed, i.e. gears, locking rear, drive shaft, inter-cooler and a lot more tuning than you will muster out of that tuner you mentioned in order to get drivability and power /shift issues addressed. It has all been done before though so best wishes on getting your mods accomplished. If you search around here and the LOD site you will find some pointers.

Thanks everyone for the input. I have been on the road since 9 a.m. picking up the supercharger kit and the trex. It is now 12:44 a.m. and I just go home. I will post some pics of the items I picked up and post some pictures of my mark viii. Thanks again.

I'd suggest more Slow before adding more Go..

And prior to FI, toss in gears and trac loc, higher stall TC, 93 drive shaft, J-mod.

Frame braces and bigger brakes and Addco bars

Tec, it looks to me like you've got the attention of one who knows of what he speaks - Don Pfau. His build with supercharger means he is completely familiar with the pitfalls and equipment needs of what you're doing. He has a 3800# car doing 11's at 120 m.p.h. In 1320 feet. That he probably drove to the track. Think about that for just a second. I guarantee he broke it a couple of times getting it all in sync to accomplish the 11.66. You couldn't pay him enough for his insight - but you should try. It will save you a bundle in the long run.

I think laser svts started to tap real bad bad but I don't remember if that was before or after the kenne bell

It was after, and it was due to a bad chain guide, and split reluctor ring

Ouch sapperfire that sucks. What boost level were you running? Also I am just accumulating the proper parts for the install. The will be dropping $1, 200 on drivetrain parts in the next 4 to 6 weeks. The build should start shortly with the s/c install and then the drive train parts.

I asked a ? to get more info on this. I have not seen any so I wanted to see them.

Well there is one for ya, best I can do today.

Stock bottom....100hp of squeeze anything can happen, toss in a marginal tune and you have a recipe for 32 pieces of everything everywhere.
Just my 2 cents.

Here is what I have picked up so far.

That intercooler looks funky and small. Also make sure the headunit mounting plate is the newer improved one.

how can I tell if I have the newer mount? And what Is the difference between the old and new revised s/c mount.

If you flip it over there are #'s cast right into it. They would break where the idler bolted on. One guy here has pics of it because it broke on him.
