Got the new tires on the rear rims today. Hankook Ventus ES with a 20% sales discount today brought them to $331.XX total.

Look good next to the car but have to sand off some of the Powder Coating that is on the mating face cause there are some drips that will keep it from sitting flush.

Looking WIDE :D

Def look big compared to the stock sized tires that came off.

If it doesn't snow tomorrow I will get them on my car

Can't believe those are the same wheels. I wish I could afford re-finishing my Cobra R's that way.

I traded him a set of ROTA Impacts that I had from my CRX I wrecked in the 90's in trade for the Powder Coating. 4 rims and 2 valve covers. Still waiting on the valve covers and I still have to remove the tires from my front rims so he can get them done.

Looks great
I thought about doing this to mine but didn't have the balls cause i was afraid what they would look like now that i know i may have to start saving.

OK got all 4 Cobra-R's on my car but the fronts are still spray bomb Black.

So took them off and swapped the back Octi's to the front :(

I did take it for a run with all 4 Cobra's and it felt so smooth. No TC light but that came on when I put the Octi's on the front again.

I did get a nice shock with the Cobra fronts when I took the tires off and saw 3 cracks in the outer lips from pot hole hits or something:mad:

A good rim repair specialist can fix those cracks.

I'm taking it to my brothers shop tomorrow and after I grind a groove in em to get some penetration . Then drill a small hole in the end of the crack I'll weld em with a spool gun. Grind the welds, sand em smooth then over to the coater up the road.

Your powder coated wheels look great! My chrome is starting to look a little weird but i might try plasti dip first for color.

So looking at my rims more closely and you can really notice the flat spots. I don't want to Powder Coat em with noticeable flat spot showing so I was looking at rim straightening shops.

Of course I find one not to far from me that not only straightens but does a Chrome and Black Chrome with a 5 year warranty

No clue on price but damn

Excellent work!
Nice rims!
2002 WRX STi, Is it the saleen rims?
If it's not a secret, how much rechrome each rims?

What rims are you asking about? The rims on my car are a set of Cobra-R replicas that I bought off a friend and they were beat up.

The place above I just read an add about the Chrome but it is a vapore deposition process that looks like chrome. I have no clue on pricing?

Well went to pick up my front rims and they were no where near done. Just blasted and sitting on the floor.

A bit over an hour later and they looked like this :D

Was easier than I though

Any idea on pricing yet, that looks pretty nice but would need to see better pictures.

On a set of rims I think for a single color it's in the $300 range? These took 2 trips into the oven cause they have a base coat and then a second coat so I am not sure?

He has Candy Colors too cause there was a set of STi rims done coming out of the oven when I got there.

Looked better when they took em off after the sun was reflecting off of them.

Finally done, or at least I thought I was done

Did the UCA's today, started at 1:30 in the driveway and finished around 6:30. Went out for the initial drive and the big thumps are gone but still has the rattle over bumps. Joy I get to do Sway Bar Links next :slam
