Thanks, Guys! I have not seen behind the wall, but I was told it looks great. The enclosure is all finished with carpet, and everything was screwed down to be secured to handle the launches at the track. Whatever they did, it worked. I had no issues with it at the track last night.
I will talk to them today about amp cooling. They did not say anything to me regarding any concern of overheating the amp.
my kicker amp cuts off from time to time lately i have had the volume up quite far. my amp is on the back of my box, which faces the rear seat, so there isnt much air flow back there and its still getting hot enough to shut down temporarily, and my amp is still in a large area, that amp is in a tiny area with no air so you will have it shut down in the summer mike, even if you have the volume half way and not cranked, if it gets warm enough it will just shut off till it cools down, but i'm sure you dont listen to your music as loud as i sometimes do, you probably wont have much trouble. unless you get into one of your neil diamond moods then watch out that amp will melt lmfao!!! looks nice though, clean set up.
ALL amps are MOSFET with the exception of a Butler Tube Driver. Not sure what your point was there.I'm pretty sure your amps are MOSFET amps. You should be ok. Somehow you don't strike me as someone who would go aroun setting off car alarms all day.

Mike, thats a class D amp and as such they run much much cooler then a class A or AB amp. You should be fine unless you crank the hell out of it on rap songs for long periods.

Thats why I kept the extra carpet from my last Mark. When I can afford a custom box I will have it covered in the exact carpet so it matches right.I love your car but these guys half arsed your install. That or its just the way the carpet looks in the pictures. I am referring to one it does not match the carpet already in the car (which by the way is easy to match) and two under you fire extinguisher it looks like it has wrinkles in the carpet. I used to do this for a living and I still do it as a hobby so lil things like that bother me but it may not bother you. But still tho your car is bad ass and it doesnt look like you cut corners anywhere else so why would you let these guys cut corners on your stereo. I'm just saying.
PS: Jamie if your amps are getting hot another trick is to use lil round spacers under the feet of your amp so that it can dissipate heat better. Any decent stereo shop should have them.

I'm supprized that with as many 100+ days you get down there that you amps dont shut off from the heat right after they start up , I know i was down in Decatur and Huntsville in late july, early august and there was a few days where i was just driving to the store and my amps cut out after about four minutes, i put a little thermometer in the trunk and checked it before i left to go some where one of the days and it was reading over 150 degrees, i'm pretty sure i used my remote start more those two weeks then i do at home in the winter.it's just the 90+ summer months I would worry about.
