With SSHS7 behind me now, and the Mark's new hubs, brakes, rims, and tires being installed in the next few weeks, it is time now to start thinking about fortifying the engine.
The car now has 401rwhp, and 318rwtq, and has run a 12.162 @ 113.42 in the quarter mile. All this on a totally internally stock engine with 107k miles on it with the help of the Vortech supercharger.
It was very tough decision, but I found myself at a crossroad with the Mark. I have decided to keep it in the 400-500rwhp range. I just do not see the point of going any further with the power at this time. Therefore, mostly bottom end stuff is going to be done. Here is a highlight list:
Injected 302 Stroker Kit
Custom Manley Pistons-off set
Manley H-Beam Rods
ARP 2000 Bolts
Total Seal Stainless File Rings
Federal Mogul H Rod & Main Bearings
ARP Main Stud Kit
ARP High Tensile Strength Head Studs (with 12 pt nuts)
Melling High Volume Oil Pump with Billet Gears
Refresh Cylinder Heads
Accufab Single Blade Throttle Body
96-98 Cobra Intake
Aric is going to use one of his Teksid blocks to build the motor, and swap with the motor in the Mark when he is done building the motor.
Here are some links to videos, pictures and info on the build thus far:
