The more things I fix... the more that break, lol

My advice to stangman would be..
go to autozone..get a 1.00 can of brake clean and clean off your abs sensors.

it'll take you about 30 minutes, hardest part is jacking the car up.
while your there, check the abs sensor wires.

Stangman, if you need any help.. hit us up...

alan is busy with a minivan for his uncle.
alan go finish the windstar and stop trying to argue on the internet.

Alan, count how many times you've said that the people posting here either.. "dont have a clue", or "dont know what they are talking about".

So... did jesus tell you to do that?

P.S. none of my customers are waiting for me to do anything.
I dont have unfinished things laying in my office.. I dont have customers unresolved issues to attend to.

THEREFORE.. "I" can spend my saturday playing on the internet..

Alan needs to get back to work, so I'll leave him alone for now.
go back to work alan.. I wont post anymore, unless you try to tell me I'm clue less or dont know what I'm talking about.

Heh any reason to get bent out of shape. Middleschool drama at it's best. I'm done with this. When he brings the car back for the bolt the abs issue will certainly be resolved. I didn't drive the car beforehand to know it changed. Plain and simple.
I stil stand behind my statements despite the opinions shown here.
I said my piece and am done with this I have other stuff to do.
Alan

Alan

isn't that exactly verbatim what you said in a particular thread on crownvic.net?

is that your internet "bob and weave" when you find you have put your foot in your mouth?

Ya know, if people wanna bash Alan, that's up to them. If people wanna bash Darrin, that's up to them. If people wanna bash Lonnie, that's up to them. I couldn't really care less as arguing on the internet is stupid. But when people are gonna bash ME, I'm going to respond.

I have NEVER deleted posts or threads because somebody wanted me to or because it would make somebody look bad. I have deleted threads or posts from Alan, Darrin AND Lonnie when they couldn't be civil and were acting like kindergartners. But no sides are taken.

And as for parts given to me? What a joke! My TC is STOCK. My trans is STOCK plus a J-Mod. The only free things I received actually came from Lonnie! He helped me a lot when I first got the turbo installed and sent me an XCal2 to do some datalogging and a copy of the tuning manual from SCT. He didn't ask for anything in return and I didn't offer. The only thing I've received from Alan was a check for $180 to host his site....oh, and a pocket screwdriver. Does that count as free parts?

If somebody wants to question my integrity, please PM me or e-mail me and give me your phone number. I'll call you personally and let you grill me to your heart's content. Otherwise, leave me the heck out of your little rants over here.

God Bless and Fly Low!

Obviously you have no purpose in this thread except to continue this.
It isn't worth discussing anymore nothing good can come of it.
For information purposes I will post the pictures of the converter that made this thread go to crap.
I took it apart and had these pictures within minutes of that.
These are the parts exactly as they were pulled.

Darrin, I tried early on.. and so did KK in not turning this into a pissing match.

stangman asked a question TO KK, indicating he wanted HIS answer to the question.
KK answered the question.. and stangman took that information FOR it's face value and "left it at that".

THEN.. BAZAM...the Great DirtyDog appears ready to lash out and strike down any that dont "sing along with you".

Seriously Alan it was you that "turned the tide" on this thread, not some ficticious tc failure conspiracy.

re-read it and see that there was NO reaction from stangman in regards to what KK said..
no harm, no foul..he strugged it off and went on with his life.

YOU could learn alot from your customer right now.. just shrugg it off and go on with your life.. Jesus would also agree... I'm pretty sure.

Also, Alan.. every post you've made on this message board has been "in defense" of your precious reputation.

Dont you spend far too much time on the internet battling with nameless people over bs accusations?

you dont see the other Torque Converter manufacters getting into pissing contests with people on the web.

again.. MIGHT wanna take a step back and check yourself sir.
your a Torque converter dood, not a UFC champ that needs to WIN BATTLES.

make sense?

To the original poster Stangman.

your personal experience weighs far more than anything "I" or anyone else on the internet can say.

what happens with you and DD is your own business, I hope it all works out for you.

Who am I to say that this deal between Stangman and DD isn't the best thing since sliced bread. It MAY be a match made in heaven!

My words are my opinon and views alone.. purely for your reading entertainment.

AND LOOK.. we gotta NEW LVC member!
WELCOME DIRTYDoG!

I've done my good deed for the day, ya'll have fun.

So I just got the trans fixed, but the tractions assist and the ABS light are on.

Then this morning, I popped my gas door by using the button... now It wont close... so how do I fix that? My car is starting to look hillbilly, LOL:(

Alan

How did you get it on the lift if you didnt drive it ?
Did you test drive it when you were done ?
If you did you would have noticed the traction assist and the ABS light were on.
I would think you would then ask the customer about it, and ask him if he wanted it fixed.

Listen Alan, the guy had you work on his car and you gave it back to him screwed up.
He comes here asking whats wrong and it comes out you were working on it.
You have more excuses the a druken teenager comming home after cufew.
Fix the guys car.

Guess what KK is right.

DirtyDog.... ouch....

What on earth are you rambling about. I told him on the phone, in PM and in this thread to bring it over and I'll take care of it. For the stuff we need the lift for I have to get this van done. The trans is going into it after dinner. No I didn't check all the lights when we pushed the car onto the lift. This is the worst case of making a mountain out of a molehill I have seen in a long long time.

I dont want to take sides. But I see an issue brought up and the resolution being that it will be on the lift for a look at ASAP.

Am I missing something else?

It's weird... people who build a good product don't need to run around the internet trying to hush up everyone who says honest things about their products... Is Chris running around talking up and covering up things about his converters?

I never got to ride in Dans car but from people who did they all told me the converter made crazy grinding sounds and the car would shake at stoplights. After the new trans and converter went in the car ran fine, must not have been the converter right?

You failed at building converters Alan.... and I will do everything I can to persuade people from being dissatisfied by buying your products.

My say from personal experiences... Don't Buy Dirty Dog Converters

BTW... I'm on vacation in LA right now and just went and saw Chris in person, he is still really happy about his converter failure and the money and time it cost him... and you can't blame that one on tunning, it was done by Jerry and if he can't do it no one can.

The issue was most definately in the trans, I did nothing but weld the converter back together and immediately sent him the pictures. I never doubted the tune on Chris's car. The forward drum blew up in it first.
Alan

Whoa... This blew up in a hurry... I'm gone for a few days and wow...

Look guys, Alan did a great job on my car, he did a lot of extra work that didnt even come from the original quote, but he stuck to it and only charged me what he and I initially spoke of.

I never had told Alan that the 2 lights Weren't on. When you first start these cars the message center lights up anyway, so it was overlooked, no big deal, I asked him about it, and we have a plan get it addressed. I wouldnt have paid attention to the traction control light if it wouldnt have been night time anyway. Which was the only reason I noticed it.

I did not know that the differential was covered in thick old grease Before taking it to Alan, that was one of the MANY things we discovered about my poor Mark upon rolling it onto the rack. Sometimes cleaning an area of a leak makes it worse so we left it as we saw it. The sensors worked prior to service. The battery was disconnected, may or may not have had something to do with it. I've seen stranger things happen. I am not placing blame on Alan for this issue, I just discussed it with him and he agreed to take a look at it since we are racking the car again to get the subframe bolts out.

I've put a 1000 miles on my trans and converter and I am very happy with it, and the service at DirtyD0g Performance.

I've got plenty more work to do on the car and Alan will be the one handling it.

Every company has a bad product. It happens. Some time or another, its virtually in-escapable.

I came to this site to get helpful advice and make new friends, not bash, or flame, or whatever. Alan's been a great fellow to me and I wish everyone would just let it go. I shouldnt have even asked what KK meant by "Ouch". I should have just let it go.

I am usually not one to get into these flame wars. As pointless as pointless can get. No matter how much or how long someone argues a point, someone will argue more. That's just how it is.

I haven't known Alan personally for very long, but he has done me right so far, and I will continue to frequent his shop for repairs. As for the van on the lift, he has a family to attend to as well, anyone will say that business is slow this time of year, and I'm sure he's not getting paid to do the job either... sorta comes with the family thing, right?

Anyway...

Can we please get back on subject and just drop this whole ordeal? Please?

If I wanted to watched endless, senseless flaming, I'da joined Cincy Street Scene....

IF it is not the rear sensors... or the front sensors for some reason... What else could it be? just out of curiosity...

Lol... good luck!

I'm not going to stop spreading the word, I do the same for companies that build a good product and have good service.

I haven't known Alan personally for very long, but he has done me right so far...

that is what I said previously in this thread.
This may be a match made in heaven for you.. I hope it turns out well.

KK wouldn't have been honest with you if he didn't post his opinion...
Alan knows there are folks out there that dont/wont use his products, this thread wasn't a "startling revelation" for him, nor was it "anything new".

Alan did the same thing here as he does on other message boards, talks to people like they are STUPID and have NO CLUE.. then drops his classic "MIDDLE SCHOOL" comment.

THIS isnt' the first message board he's done that on... and it wont be the last.

Again, as I said before.. nothing ANYONE says on the internet will hold more weight than your personal experience.

I'm fairly certian that Alan will take care of you, if for no other reason thant to "PROVE US" wrong.....
if that's the case, then.. SO be it...and I have no problem with that.

If your happy Im happy.
I have no problems.......he isnt working on my car he is working on yours.

I'm not going to stop spreading the word

I'm not gonna go out of my way to inform people of things that are readily available with a little research.

I generally dont comment on this specific vendor's products unless I'm specifically asked about it..

HENCE my original post to KK, indicating he'd probably already "said too much".

I dont want to come off as a "DirtyD0g" basher, the disagreement I had with Alan is how he approached this issue, and they way he addressed "those that dare disagree with him".

Hell, I "agreed" with alan on another message board just today.. for you conspiracy theory folks...HAHA
