those of you with SST - how do you use it?

if you have a gen1 LS it will start in 2nd gear but if you have a gen2 LS it will start in 1st gear. I had both and that s the first thing I noticed.

I checked my 2005 owner's manual and it indicates that the trans will shift into 1st gear after a stop from 4th or 5th, and it will start in 1st gear when re-accelerating. I also have a 2005 Service Manual CD and it looks like the Service Manual was not properly revised from how a 1st gen LS differs from a 2nd gen.
