Remember I said:
And how I was all like
And when I said
As if I wanted a cruiser Mustang?
Forget that
My boss just pulled his car up at closing, revved it up to grab my attention from inside, and waved for me to come out. He gets out, says get in, and walks to the passenger side. It was a supercharged ~2009 Saleen S281 that he just rebuilt this spring to make more power (after breaking it, of course). There were blue gauges in my face. It had wide open electric cutouts. It had a grabby clutch that was practically just on/off. I stalled within 10 seconds. And omfg I need this one. Forget the refinement of the 15. Forget the mediocre grumble of the RS3. Forget the "world class" design quality of the 15's interior. Forget all that. I have a daily already. Compared to this Saleen, I have two dailys. I want the power. All of it. The poor guy was so scared. He really doesn't let anyone else drive his car, but I guess he trusts me a whole lot. The rear end kicked out a couple times (700+ hp, drag radials, moist roads) and he probably pictured me wrecking his baby. I did about a mile roundtrip and I felt like I was doing a test run for SuperSpeeders or something with the sound, the body, the blue gauges in my face... I did not and still do not feel excitement though. Just determination to get something equally as muscular because I need it.
I'm in love with a [tire] stripper.
Edit: I think this is actually the one I drove, pre-rebuild

We had a 2015 Roush Stage 3 ...
I fcuking need it.
And how I was all like
The sound is ferocious and refined.
And when I said
The 14s are an American Muscle car and that's fine. I'd still take one. But the 15s take all the fun of that muscle and pack it into a world-competitive, comfortable, refined performance coupe. Honestly, the only thing I prefer from the 14 is the front end and the sound.
