What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

what about the height? dont you have one of those switches? put a new set of 764's in just because, car still missing badly over 2000 rpm. aslong as you drive like grandma no problemo beginnining to go fuel route tomorrow filter firstwhat do i need to ckeck pressure? at the schrader valve or whatever th thing is thet looks like a tire valve stem.

That whole post has me confused lol. Yes, I have a Rays Switch and I'm guessing "you" put in a new set of 764's? Yes, you would check your fuel pressure at the schrader valve and most will run it up to their windshield so that the hood can be closed and car can be driven as they watch / monitor the pressure gauge as they drive.

So went to a meeting in a parking lot that everyone used to hang out at a decade ago for a reunion so to speak. Was mostly a 5.0 Fox Body Mustang crowd but few had graduated to 96'Mod engine stangs. One new Camaro SS my Mark and an old friend showed up in his Big F350 while his wife pulled in after with his AMG E63 :p

I insisted on getting a ride so he was like come on lets go! I run on over and the pass seat has a bunch of Pies wrapped in aluminum foil on it :shifty:

Of course he bitched that he has to get her SUV fixed cause look what she is doing to my AMG

I will get a ride in this car :gr_devil:

Shampooed the carpet today. It was horrible. Absolutely horrible. I mean way beyond the most horrible thing anyone could ever possibly imagine. The water came out completely black. Both times I emptied the canister. It was horrible:D Carpet looks totally different now. Interior feels better too:)

I was taking my son to get him his birthday present and had to get Gas from Chevron first if I wanted to get daytime pics because I knew by the time I got him out of the store, it was going to be dark.

The car is dirty and hasn't been washed but I did wipe down the Octi's with a microfiber rag and that's it. Been 98 to 100 degrees for past few days and I can't handle the heat out in the garage to put a good cleaning on the outside. Anyway, I only snapped a few pics with my phone like I said I would do. After a good clean up, I'll find a better location for pics. I backed into this spot and hit the switch and slammed it. Took a few and got back in the AC, ASAP. :D

Disconnected the shifter cable from the trans and found that its not causing the firmness in the shifter itself. I think i'm just seeking something thats not possible.

Put in the mint radio bezel and knee panel to replace my old ones. Now when I get bored I find little things wrong with the int cosmetics and replace them. Thank god for that parts car.

Also removed the custom gps mount. It kept the bezel from sitting flush on the right side so it had to go. Retained the hardwired power feed in the same spot though, so now i'll just have to pull it out a little from the console in order to use it. Everything is still completely hidden.

No limit looking grear but i still would love to see the vertical led's covered up.

Luke

Thanks, I'm going to order two more strips and just go horizontal with them because you can only make a cut after every 3rd light or the strip won't work. They have power wires, red and black that come off each end so when you do your cut, you still have the other end that you can work with somewhere else, like under the dash or mount one up high and use it as a tag light. I have two 4" to 6" pieces left but not positive where I put them

found out why my ABS light is on. apparently it has no signal from the front left sensor. ill have to check on that tomorrw

Not Mark VIII related, but I recently found out (possibly) why my wife's '96 Cobra doesn't have a rear sway bar. A mechanic friend of mine told me that a lot of the Fox/SN95 Cobras had a habbit of breaking rear sway bars. Especially if they were lowered. And he said that most of the ones he saw were not replaced. Now I can't say if this is true because it's the first I've heard of it. So I really don't know. But what other reason would there be for removing the rear sway bar?

Maybe the previous owner had a $$ unit on and took it off before he sold it/traded it in..

Could be. I just don't know. It doesn't make any sense for the car not to have a rear sway bar. It's a 3 owner car and we're the 3rd owners. The original was a golf course designer and he kept the car in storage most of the time. He sold it to real estate broker/contractor who had a lot of other Fox/SN95 Mustangs and he liked to race. He's the one who installed the Eibach lowering springs, Cobra R wheels, Magnaflow mufflers, K&N air filter, and caster/camber plates. Maybe he did have an upgraded sway bar in it and decided he wanted to keep it for another Mustang and took it out before we bought it. But why wouldn't he put the original one back in? And I'm kicking myself for not noticing the first time I inspected the undercarriage:eek: I must really be getting old...

I bet thats what happened then. When looking over a car for the first time your brains working extra hard to try and look over every knook and cranny. You tend to miss things as theres alot to look over.

As for why he didn't install the old one back on? Laziness?

You're probably right. I was so excited about the 46k miles and the really good price I just looked under it and saw how clean it was and didn't really pay a lot of attention like I should have.

Probably. Oh well. I'll get another one for it some day:D
