What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Got to work first and then my brother shows up with his new used Audi Twin Turbo 6 speed stick station wagon :shifty:

He then pushes a button and the car lowers itself and he says I can't wait to see what all the other buttons do :p

Still like my Mark better :D

Just got back from my 3rd and final parts binge via viking desiel. Lets just say I got anything and everything that was left before it went to the scrapper 2maro. I pretty much have an entire parts car in my garage. The big finds today where the amp, wood radio bezel, shifter assm and cable, door panels, ballast (if it works) abs sensors, air ride control module, scil....List goes on.

O' and the 2 parts I originally went up for, a rubber hood/fender bumper and drivers side door molding. He always finds a way to make me leave with a full car. :zgreenbou

Water, lots and lots of water.

Acid and a sand blaster

First I blow mine off with an air blower, then simple green on purple power 100%, hit the lower block and subframe with a can of wd-40.run til dry (try not to soak the top much, electricals don't like moisture)

For the extra shine I use CoverAll tire cleaner

I like to use cheese products.

Melted velvetta and Bleu cheese works wonders on carpet, and also as a glass polish

Fixed the moonroof finally. Hasn't worked right since I bought the car, always had to push up on the glass to get it to close. It always slid on the tracks OK, just wouldn't pop into the roof opening ...anyway Laser and I removed and tweaked it a few times ...then decided to just open the holes up for the roof dowels

Mmmmmm...processed cheese food product...:D

Also, I'm getting compliments from everybody on my headlights. Especially at work. It's amazing what a little polishing can do. I didn't realize how closely some people pay attention to things. It's kinda weird in a way...

Thats what I did yesterday in 90+ degree heat.

I have all the doors switches/parts ect. Didn't know I'd eventually get the whole door so I just took the important stuff off. This is just 1/3 of the stuff I pulled over the course of 3 trips. I got the drivers seat, functional steering colunm, center console and so so much more.

Can anyone tell me what these are? They were bolted by the radiator, 1 on each side. Something for the hids or highbeams?

Went to have the Octi's put on but the place that I was going to get to put in a new rear wheel stud closed at 5:30 and where I was getting the wheels installed closed at 7:00. Anyway, their loaded in the car and ready to go tomorrow. If I hadn't taken my son to get a haircut, I would have made it to get the stud done and yes, I could do the stud myself but I'd rather pay someone to do the work in the heat. I hate heat. Stud will be done tomorrow and the wheels will be done right after the stud is installed. Three are in the back seat and one is in the front floorboard and the center caps are in my trunk, out of their hands. I'll put them on when they get done.

I need a more detailed timeline on whats going to happen. :p

Installed my drivers side door weatherstripping and prepped(again) a rusty creature hanging out on my inner lower pass door. I did it once a couple years ago but it's time to do it again. The rust isn't showing ext all that much (thank god for a red car) but its there when you take the lower rubber strip/gasket off. Busted out the wire brush and sandpaper and went at it. Not perfect, never will be but it'll look better and add a little barrier.

Well, I woke up at 9:30 this morning.... :D I still haven't left yet but now I know what kind of time line I'm dealing with and there are no haircuts included with my time frame today. I'll probably head out around 3 or 4 to get the stud done and then go from there to have the wheels done.

Got 4 new tires...dip:q:q:q:qs put 2 wheels on backward and 2 wheels on forward...then looked at me like I was stupid when I told them to fix it.

Nolimit im waiting.
Pics pics pics.

This is the best I can do right now. I haven't wiped away the finger smudges from them handling them. I'll get a good pic or two after I clean them up good and dress up the tires, I'll get a good pic with the slammed look but this is what I have so far. Not much but it's something. Not sure why the 2nd pic has the blur look to it but I'll get more up tomorrow.

Nice man , nice .

Thanks. When it cools down from 110 degrees in the garage down to the 80's, I'll go wipe them down real good and do something with the tires. I'm still trying to get used to the change. Looks a lot different now than it did. They have inner stick on weights and I got it up to 85 but at any speed under that, there is no steering wheel wobble or anything. Extremely smooth but the silver 10's were done the same way by the same tire shop.

what about the height? dont you have one of those switches? put a new set of 764's in just because, car still missing badly over 2000 rpm. aslong as you drive like grandma no problemo beginnining to go fuel route tomorrow filter firstwhat do i need to ckeck pressure? at the schrader valve or whatever th thing is thet looks like a tire valve stem.

I've said it before I'll say it again octastars are the best stock wheel.
