so scince its been kind of boring around lately, What would you do if you had 25,000 dollars you had to spend on your LS. You would have all the tools and a lift you needed.

I think I would drop in a new AJ-v8 with all forged internals, a set of cams, a better engineared intake manifold, and other minor engine parts, a 5 speed or maybe 6 speed manual.

Adjustable Tien coil overs and a repaint, same color just new paint so it looks nice, and a set of 18 in allow five spoke wheels.

would 25k be enough to replicate the Mclaren LS? oh my.

otherwise I would just keep the outside totally stock gen1 with the baddest internals possible and go hunt AMG's

I would pay for an 06 lse cash and with the rest of the money start modding :p

i would sell it, at put a heavy chunk down on a CTS-V

I would put put it down as a payment on a E63 AMG.

+1. I'd get rid of the LS, and get something modern and with more balls.

Rolli, you definately know how to budget your money!

Posi rear end with a little more gear ( I really don't need the top end speed)
Freshen up motor with stonger internals and then add super charger
Chrome rims, even the split 5 spokes chromed look pretty good
Repaint. Keep it black but use the new Tuxedo Black

I would love to start with a fully loaded black on black 06 LSE. I'd have Gen 1 headlights installed with the angel eyes and the two tone Gen 1 tail lights along with the Gen 1 trunk lid. Sorry guys, I just don't like the Gen 2 lights at all.

Wings west 3 piece rear spoiler, tune, turbo kit with better exhaust, built tranny that actually shifted when you wanted when in SST mode, tint, springs and some kind of staggered 19 inch mesh wheels with polished lips. Limited slip rearend, Would also throw in a big Baer brake set up.

Sell the LS...then put it as a down payment on Aston Martins 4 door the Rapide..by far the best four door on the market

i don't know bugatti is releasing a 4 door, although its ugly as hell. An i do like the masaratti 4 door and the porsche

Yea they are and its ugly. but Porsche's Panamara would be second for me. I saw the Rapide at the NYC auto show and it literally blew my mind:bowrofl:

I think everyone missed the point. It says 25K to spend on the LS.

So, my list:

Custom Paint: allow 10K
Suicide doors: 3K?
New wheels: 3K
New shocks: 1K
TCI 3400rpm stall converter: 600
New tips: 200
New amp: 400
New head unit: 1000
4x component speakers, with a DC250.4: 3000
Zymol Vintage wax to finish the paint :D : 2500
1 box of Cohiba Lanceros to smoke while I enjoy the finished product: 300

if i had to spend it on the LS, i guess i would buy a terminator, t56, 31spline rear end, plenty of welding supplies, two big snails, a shoe horn, and a huge bottle of Tylenol.

Some of your prices are waaaay off. You won't do a supercharger for 1k and unless you know a body guy or go to Maaco your custom paint won't be that good for 2k

this was more for some fun than accuracy, basically the point was if money was no object what would you do to your car... I figuired it may be a more positve thread than will these wheels fit and my car overheats....

My list:
- 5.0 Coyote motor + harness and ECU.
- Finish the 8.8" rear upgrade with carbon-fiber shaft
- Jag S-Type R H&R Springs, with matching shocks
- Big brake upgrade
- Tylenol and Booze to dull the pain

i just couldn't see putting over twice what i paid for the car back into it.

Turbo the ls, mambo doors, TVs everywhere, suicide doors custom paint job, cuztom 2 tone interior I got 20's so its all good, angel eyes, lse body kit. New magnaflows.I

As much as i love my 06 i would not dump all my money into it.

Rollin has it down. Haha

Buy a black 06. $9000
Subtle blue ghost flames, $3000
suicide doors, $2000
angel eyes, $400
nice chrome rims. $1300
GT body kit. $1100
Sound system that raises hell with heavy metal goodness $900
Custom chrome skull hood ornament with glowing eyes $300
Fine tuned XCAL. $800

Yeah, I probably don't have $25K of crap on my list. About $6K not counting the motor swap. I am guessing that motor swap plus all the other crap I would need would be a an additional $10K when it's all done. So that gets me to $16K by guestimate.

Guess I could add new rubber and wheels, HID housings, angel eyes, custom stereo setup, and some paint/body work. That would probably round out that $25K nicely.

Although currently I only have the springs/shocks, HID/Angel-eyes, and 8.8" upgrade on the list. The others are being saved for a rainy day :)
