Whats the highest MPH reached in your LS?

What if I told you that I could get 10 mph extra without engine mods? Would anyone be interested?

Ha.

If the LS had a 4 valve mod motor, they would have nothing to hype about. Its really easy to compare a forced induction vehicle to a stock engine and brag.

But lets put a supercharged mark against a supercharged AJ-V8 and it a whole different story.

XFR is even faster.

Oh no, I was talking about my all motor Mark VIII just to clarify ;):

I was only ripping on lincoln zero because he's a lame brain. If anything I said applies to anyone else and their LS, I'm sorry. I was just stating facts to someone who doesn't know them all. LOL

And yes lincoln zero, I have heard about Quik LS. He's running nitrous.

So you admit to Trolling? ;)

Non the less i am far from knowing everything. If i seem like i think i do, its only because i Google things and talk to people who kinda do. I myself, I have lots and lots and lots to learn.

However if someones gonna trash Talk the LS, i will Refute the garbage they spew from their foul mouths.
In this case, its you! :D

Nope. He had a supercharger.

He should update his profile then:confused::

I'm not trash talking the LS sir. I was putting forth factual information about the non-user friendly modding platform with the LS cars. The problem is you come on here and downplay everyone else that owns an LS trying to make them think it's just as easy as 1-2-3. What was that number you just threw out into the air? $9K I don't think you have any idea really. I would stick to your original plan and talk to the guys that know how to make these cars fast. Preferably someone into custom engine work and forced induction perhaps. You won't get far on the stock platform and that is a fact. Aside from the whole modding tangent, are LS cars great? Pshh. I don't know. I gave my buddy a ride in my Mark VIII, he loved it and wanted a Lincoln also and settled for an LS. Now the poor kid who works his a$$ off and has college bills is feeling almost forced to sell it because he has had nothing but problems with it. That's what he tells me. Don't shoot the messenger.

BLAH BLAH BLAH Any car can be made fast. Yes i get the LS is luxury. But just because some Bozo has an opinion on what he thinks of a car, doesn't make it fact, and certainly will be taken with a grain of salt.

Prepare to get Butt hurt: Read this mans post

Butt Hurt? Over what? 140 in the mile is pathetic for a highly modified car, and you are talking about one that has a lot of money in it, and ITS NOT YOURS....

I already have a fast car, but will gladly watch you throw thousands at your LS to dip into toyota Camry territory.

Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and show us this "hella fast LS"

lol def some good comedy.

Heres what F%^'s me up about some of u guys
I feel that my LS is pretty damn fast. BEING THAT IT ISNT A RACE CAR
Ive drove some mean ass cars and I know what fast is. For a regular luxury daily driver, my LS is a nice snappy ride, If im doing 60-70mph on the highway, and punch it around a semi, it yanks me and gets me to a 100mph real quick.

But why the @#$* do we compare the damn thing to cars designed for the sole principle of being fast? A guy that works for me has a SRT-8 Charger. Pretty damn fast. Heavy around corners, but def fast. My point is its def a diff ballgame.

As stated before, considering $$$, You can pick up a pretty sick trans am, z28, or whatever for under 10k. So why are u taking a sporty luxury car and ghetto'n it up. Its not what this cars for.

And we have a Winner... These cars are HEAVY.. There's nothing you can do to change that, and that is what truly holds them back.. Just ask 5th Gen Camaro owners about making a pig fast..

Lincoln_Zero definitely has that ricer mentality.. Lets take a 90 horsepower civic and try to make it fast, instead of appreciating it for the slow, econo box that it is, or attempting to make a 4000# lincoln with no aftermarket run with cars it was never meant to..

i can accept that. Everything you said is valid. We are kinda on the same page, that custom work needs to be done.
The 9K was figurative. And intake exhaust and tune is easy as 1-2-3, the rest is custom and one would likely need help doing it. Not saying otherwise. No downplaying here.

Wft is wrong with you? Have you not been reading?
All i said in an earlier post was i raced an sti and won. Never said anything about being hella fast. Learn to read a thread before you jump in making a donkeys balls sack of yourself.

Not a single person gives a crap what you think should and shouldn't be modified on any car. Seriously. Not one person here gives a rats piss about your opinion.
I, like many many many other people in this world, LIKE modifying things. Doesn't matter what car it is. If i wanna take a freaken expedition, Add 22 inch rims, cut the hatch off and slap a mommas big ass rocket, add some garden hoses over the hood as racing stripes, and rape your rust bucket in a qm with my rocket fat ass expedition, thats my prerogative. Every individual appreciates things differently. So keep your opinion's to yourself so that everyone here doesn't get any more dumber reading your posts.

And BTW, car and driver stating the V6 Camry gets 14.3 Stock
http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/toyota-camry-se-v6-road-test-review
And that video you uploaded of the 13.9 Camry, the owner of the Camry posted his upgrades:
Video Up loaders mods: "Custom axle back exhaust, performance tires. Completely stock otherwise." Yaa that sure is Stock 13.9 there eh guy??

So no, not spending thousands to be in Camry Class.

You apparently have it confused, everyone in this thread generally gives a **** about almost everyone's opinion except for yours.

And for the love of god, I am not a grammar nazi, but the least you can do is capitalize your "I"'s.

I feel like this is you.

I usually just skim over this sort of back-and-forthing. It reminds me too much of the sort of arguments I used to listen to in high school.

On the other hand, I guess I need to point out that the engine I used to set the record was internally stock. But the same day I set the E/F CC record, I also set the record in E/F SS. The major difference in set-up was that with the CC record I was running Methanol and the SS record was set using race gas---but both were set using the same hardware. Most of the work done to my LS has been the addition of mandatory safety equipment.

As to the performance I've derived, you might check post 217 or thereabouts in the 'Land Speed LS' thread.

Unless you can do better, 'pathetic' seems to to me to be very high-school.;)

What I'm saying is YES, with enough money, you can make ANYTHING fast.. There are guys that race frieghtliners, BUT, for the average person, this is not a fast car, nor can it easily be made one, for all practical purposes. Is that too hard to understand?

Just to humor you, after I throw a clutch in my 550rwhp Cobra, I'll borrow a Go-Pro and show you how measly your 140 mph in standing mile is, and I'll do it at 5000 ft elevation, on pump gas

These threads always end up like this.

Tons of underground racing lambos that would **** on your cobra all day long. But then again a cobra is not a high end exotic sports car, and an LS is not in the same category as a cobra either.

For everyone here who has something fast, someone else is faster.

I completely agree. IF you read back, my original argument is that its a waste of time trying to make a lincoln LS fast. That is all

I cant stand it when new members talk $hit on/about senior members, especially ones that have done more for the LS community than most of us can even dream of. The constant trash talking on LVC is getting very old and the new guys that come around here and fvck up this forum need to grow up and realize what this forum is all about.

If you want to mod your LS, do it. I do. If you dont want to mod it, dont. But this constant rambling and comparing the LS to Cobras and Camaros etc just doesnt make any sense. The LS is simply a luxury sports car, nothing more...unless you want to make it more like QuikLS, Cammerfe, Alax7 and few others have done. Its not an easy car to mod for true high performance like a Mustang but it can, and has been done.

I would rather read a 'my car hesititates at 45-60mph' thread than read the crap in this one.

Just want to finally put the Heavy Weight LS issue to bed.

This is with a full tank of fuel, and about 70lbs of gear in the trunk minus the 210lb driver
