Thanks,

Hey, Greyghost.
I will be ordering your CCFL headlights soon.
I could get the CCFL and do it but I figure I'll let professional do the job and done right. I have angel eye on my foglights instead of headlight (couldnt get the headlight to open, black instead of grey) .
I'll probably get rid of the angeleye for fog light once I get the CCFL for headlights. what do you think? too much if I have both? I'll have to post some pics to have some opinions.
back to your CCFL, which part are you referring to when you say it can be custom painted?

Both might look neat if they are the same color.

I wonder how well one of those white bars would work in the side mouldings so to light up as puddle lights when you open the door.. Kinda like on the Razzi Body kit??
Gray... You got any thoughts on this?
I guess it depends on what kind of look you're going for. It might be a tad much for the car but if you like it then go for it.

If you have a car that isn't black you can have the bezel painted to match. They look real good. Here's a picture of the painted bezel in the Vivid Red:

I haven't seen the angel eyes in the fog lights on the LS. Can you post some pics?

So if you chose not to have the bezel painted it would just be "stock" color?

And when you order, is the $369 or whatever the cost for both headlights or is it $369 or whatever a piece?

I got confused reading the post, do they have a good life span or do they blow out after like 2 months or something?

the MTBF for ccfl tubes is supposed to be around 15k hours IIRC but yu never can tell when I light will blow. When it does it will require full disassembly to replace. I would be all over this mod if it were not for this fact.

I look to my garage door opener lights for direction in this case. I have bought all sorts of bulbs that are supposed to be long life and safe for use in high vibration enviroments and one by one they all blow.

I may try to find some LED bulbs since it is not hot in the garage. The only angel/demon eye bulbs that were external to the headlight assy were the fiber optics and they are hard as hell to find now. See if he can get you a set of those. The light is transferd through a fiber optic cable to the ring so if the light blows you just replace the bulb.

The bezel is black originally so if you choose not to have the bezel painted then it is black. The price of $369 is for both headlights with the angel eyes installed. You can opt for the pre-wired option which you don't have to do any wiring. I use a stock wiring harness and pre-wire the angel eye lights to it so that when you turn on your parking lamps the angel eye rings come on.

The rings will last the life of your car. The only item that you may have to replace over time is the transformer and it's a simple change out.

Thanks, it was not the color I originally wanted actually. I had my heart set on sliver w/ black leather but the only one I found was too pricey. But I saw this one and feel in love. I also like that it has the spoiler.

GrayGhost:
Money is tight for me now, but your angel eyes are a defiant must, so I'm going to skrap every penny I can now lol. I do not know what color would go w/ the color of my car so I'm probably just going to have go w/ black like normal.

No problem! I'm working 5 sets of angel eye headlights this weekend to get out before I head out on vacation. It looks like your car is the Medium Cypress Green. I did a set of angel eye headlights for a guy that had that color. His bezel was painted the same color and it looked real good. His car is on CarDoman. Let me find his car and I'll link you to it.

Ken

EDIT: Here's the link to guy that has the painted bezels I did. The pics aren't great but you can still see it really ties in with the rest of the car:

What is a CCFL DIY kit for the LS?

There have been several 'angle eye' kits for the LS.

the first ones were similar to the BMWs, used a 'light box' and fiber optic rings - very bright but hard to install

the second generation seemed to be LED rings - the latest versions are ok bright but the LEDs tend to fail due to the heat of the headlights

the current generation uses Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lights - basically little fluorescent tubes - the are very bright and easier to install.

Here's a pic of mine:
