Well, we'll all commiserate with you on this situation (been there, done that, got the t-shirt and the coffee mug), but we'll also gladly give you a big dope slap for selling the spare. :slam :waving:
In my impoverished young adulthood, I drove around on more tires that wouldn't pass inspection than I'd care to admit, and a few times I wound up walking home and/or calling for help because the spare was in worse condition than the tire that blew...
The first thing I'd do would be to go buy a new spare and drive home. Then just wait while the wheel is repaired; as mentioned above, bent wheels can be repaired. Try your local yellow pages (or ask you family friend who owns the shop), or check out
AutoWeek's Classifieds--I've seen at least one ad for a wheel-repair shop.
IIRC, as long as the wheel isn't broken or cracked, you should be OK. My boss looked into this when his daughter bent the factory aluminum wheel on her 626, and I
think they had concerns about cracks in the wheel. (He wound up buying a new wheel, so we never found out how well wheel repair works.)
Well, enjoy your lubrication session, but don't overdo your elbow exercises. And drink as much water as "other stuff" to avoid the hangover; I've only drunk enough to need this advice once (and it worked), but the friend who gave me this advice gave it from experience...
