No we have driven other cars that have better brakes, throttle response and better shifting.

I have but the trade off is comfort. I have owned several track day cars over the years that quantitatively would be better in each area than my LS but I don't want to drive them daily.

Another If only I had my camera moment

A coupla days ago while I wuz out driving my almost completely stock 01 Lincoln LS, trying to watch the odometer rollover 227,899.3671 miles, I seeeent a 2thousand and 3, in the year of owah Lawd, Lankun inTown Caruh with an obviously custom, Krylon, 10oz., gold, hand-on-the-can, runny, spray painted finish with a gigantihumongicus (really BIGG-ASSSED) rear deck lid spoiler, big rims and a Krylon gold grille...

Excuse me..., but how many $4 cans of gold spray paint does it take to paint a Town Car & doesn't Earl Sheib or Maaco have a $249 car theft special that would look a little better?

Another if only I had my camera moment....

I have to jump on the transmission bandwagon as well. The biggest issue that I have with these cars is the automatic's behavior.
 
Don't worry about it, this is normal behaviour around here!

G-Rell should be here shortly ... F'n BS every day.

If it's not that then it's the spelling, grammar & punctuation police.
 
My biggest bug is that Ford didn't make a Gen3.

But specifically related to my Gen2:
1) Ford didn't use an 8.8" pumpkin out back
2) Tranny downshift wants me to stab the gas to work
3) Radio sometimes gets distorted, have to turn it off for 10 seconds then back on
4) Crappy OE tires (they were REALLLY horrible!)
 
I hate the cooling system on this car ('03 LS8). I've spent over $1,000 wholesale in cooling system parts. I hate the gigantic headrests. I hate the coil on plug and valve cover gaskets.

I am right here Ace. The title of the thread basically asks for complaints. Would you not agree?

If you don't, use some of the money you earlier referenced and maintain you eyes. Or, spend it to maintain help supplement your obvious lack of comprehension.
 
Complaints

I kind of like the depreciation since I got my 03 in 06 for $14k. I do hate the under engineered POS COPs, all the under engineered plastic bits, the plastic cooling system parts including the expansion tank. The odd "overheat, no actually the temp is fine" way that air in the cooling system presents. Oh, and the leaking VCGs suck as well.
The paint is really top notch and after spending its whole life outdoors in the baking sun, it is in perfect condition. The oddball bolt pattern, the jekyll and hyde tranny and the crappy chain tensioners are way more than just annoying, the window regulators and moon roof drain bits are crap. The air conditioned seats are worth the price of admission in the desert climate here. The steering is a bit vague, and the failed headliner adhesive is annoying.
Overall, the love/hate is alive and well with mine.

I am complaining about cry babies like you posting on here, you don't like this, you don't like that. Like I told the other guy, get another car and move on then the rest of us get some relief.
On top of that you can't use a spell check.

You entered the wrong thread if you are looking for nutsack riding on the LS. Everyone here loves this car, or we wouldn't be on here as enthusiasts.

Maybe you shouldn't complain about people's grammar/spelling since it's "you're" not "your" in the first sentence. I could care less how people spell or write on the internet as long as it makes sense and I suggest you feel the same - no one is perfect. So now that that's been covered, why are you telling people to stop complaining when the thread itself specifically asks for complaints? Lighten up or go to a different thread.
