B/c we have clamped off hoses on both sides of the DCCV (one and then the other), to prevent water flow to the heater core and there's no change in the temperature across either side of the A/C vents. Still cold on left/warm on right. Shouldn't you be able to eliminate the failure via this...
Oh ye masters of the LS... I seek your wisdom again. I have read several threads on the issue of A/C problems and see many posts on the DCCV along with the DATC... more on that in a moment.
I have a 2000 LS V6...
I have cold air coming out of the drivers side and hot air out of the passenger...
Ran this on my 2000 V6 and got a fault code of 12 42. Would love to hear what that might mean....
But another question... do we know if there's any way to clear these codes to see if they return?
suction pressure ??
Does anyone have a clue as to what the suction pressure should be on a 90 degree day --I have 30 psi suction pressure on my ford ranger at idle and 90 degree ambiant- we should be able to slowly charge the system to ???? psi suction pressure and not over charge the system...

Thanks for the TSB, i'm not sure if that's my issue b/c my problem has not really been intermittent... but it did start once in the midst of my problem ... long enough for me to drive it to my dad's house.Other than that, no start in many days.

LS is having issues starting...
One night last week I found that it wouldn't start. But the next day it started twice then no more.
Starter relay is getting +12v to pin 30 (common) and Pin 86
(switch) when the key is turned, but no ground to pin 85. (LS switches
ground to the relay)...
I had a 1980 International Scout.
Didn't take it off road much. But should have. I wasn't real fond of it at the time... it leaked and died at stop signs on rainy days. And the add on A/C was not good enough to keep you cool in the Texas summers. But... now i'd like to have one again.
I've got the well documented leak problem and need to change the valve cover gasket on my '00 LS. Talked to a Lincoln tech and he indicated the gasket will leak again eventually, (maybe 60K miles, or maybe sooner) once it becomes swollen with oil.
I searched but could not find this...
