Hi thanks again, I unplugged the IMRC valves and the short is gone :) . I have attached pics of the plug if anyone knows where or if I can get a pigtail for this would be great, if not I guess I'll just try to hack something together.

I was driving my 04 ls when I seemed to loose power and then my tranny threw the infamous E, I was worried that something went with the tranny but when I plugged in my OBD reader there was to many trans codes and an egr code, so I checked and saw that they share the same fuse, I replaced the...

I avoided that by submerging the solenoid in fluid before installation.

    2004 LS Transmission issue

Fluid level is OK, aside from something else being wrong with the tranny I think it's possible the "remanufactured" solenoid is just used.

    2004 LS Transmission issue

I got a supposedly reman solenoid block from ebay, I did not know how to test it, but it was worse than before, and they replaced the defective one right away, now the car shifts great the only issue I have is the slight firm shift when shifting on an incline.

For anyone changing their solenoid out use a 10mm stubby flex to remove the electrical connector it's pretty easy with that.

    2004 LS Transmission issue

Hi I believe I filled it correctly it swallowed about 6.5 qts but I'll check again. The only reason I'm asking is because the fluid I removed originally was brownish but showed as red on the rags and was pretty clean.

    Lincoln LS new owner hep!

It may be possible that there was work done on the car and it wasn't bled properly, I would suggest you bleed the system and see if it does you any good.

    2004 LS Transmission issue

Thanks to all the help on the forums I changed the solenoid pack which was pretty straightforward beside for the solenoid connector which takes forever using a 10mm stubby which seemed to be the only way. Also there was a discussion regarding the fill plug location, I have a 2004 and definitely...
