New update.......Car is fixed a 5.60$ spring in the valve body was the fix. The trans shop didn't charge me for the trans job so the new shop is at about 500.00$ in labour. I am fine with that........

A little update ........The trans shop completed the rebuild, including replacing the solinoid pack and netrule safety switch. Same problem this fixed nothing. After having the car 3 weeks with the car they finnaly said they don't know and wouldn't charge me for anything. Great new trans and...

The car will have been at the trans shop 2 weeks tomorrow. I am getting so pissed with these guys. Gonna give them a call in the morn to see whats up.

Sooo we have established that it didn;t have a v6 so any tech adivise.....?

If i hit the status button everythink comes up as O.K. What harness did you replace ? just the ones from the trans to the cpu??????

They replaced the solenoid and rebuilt the trans. The car is still there, I told him i'm not paying or picking it up till its fixed. He says he's gonna get some electrcal guy to come and take a look. I can't believe he wanted me to pick it up and pay for when it still has the same problem....

so guys, any guesses on the trans problem????

Well the motor had been changed ,I think it was done in some ones shed.:confused: There had been some crappy splicing and messy work the dealer said they fixed most of that so they could get codes from the pcu. They first told me i needed a new pcu for a v8 since the car came with a v6. I...

Well i did a little googleing , and it apears that it did infact come with a v8. That is good news i think. Now just gotta figure out what is going on with the trans. My faith in the lincoln dealership is lost......
