That really sounds like either the belt tensioner or idler pulley. Heard that noise before on my old Crown Vic. replaced both and a new belt and all was right with the world.

I had the rear drivers side caliper E-brake mechanism on the caliper hangup/stick really bad. I picked up a replacement at O-Reilly's, painted the outside of the caliper and it worked flawlessly until I sold the car. Hope this helps.

One thing I may add, Hooking up the hose that is coming from the bottom of the De-gas bottle to the rigid aluminum tube was a PITA. Very little room there against the fire wall and the brake booster.

Oops my bad, I got the Spectra Premium De-gas bottle. The MotorRad was the only T-stat housing in town.Pep Boys. Nobody, including the local Ford dealer had a new T-stat housing. The housing came with its own T-stat and of course, the Fomoco, stat I bought won’t fit in the MotorRad housing.

Check your t-stat... Before I noticed my radiator leaking, mine was acting very similar. You saw in my post how one of the ears in the T-stat housing had busted, making the T-stat all caty-whompus which was no doubt affecting coolant flow and temp issues.

Finished up tonight. De-gas bottle Water pump T-stat and t-stat housing Radiator New coolant And cleaned up the engine bay. Two cool things about this. I saved a bunch by doing the labor myself. Most of the bolts required only a 5/16 or 8mm socket and wrench to get off and put back on.
