    P0303 and P0305

For archival purposes- the cam position sensor is located on the drivers side, towards the very back of the engine, between the intake manifold and the drivers side head. I'll take a pic when I'm finished out there.

    P0303 and P0305

So, I bought the sensor and got all ready to replace it, but I don't see where it is. I see the wire, but I lose it after it goes under some pink foam. Am I going to have to remove everything on the engine to get to it? Or is there an easy access hole to get to it?

    P0303 and P0305

I'm glad I finally got the P1309 then, because it explains the random misfires. I searched a few threads on changing the sensor, but haven't really found the info I'm looking for. Do you know if it is a difficult sensor to replace?

    P0303 and P0305

It only "feels" like it is misfiring sometimes. Otherwise, the car drives great. Now the misfire changes cylinders on its own- there is always a code for cylinder three, but sometimes 5 and 6 throw codes. Just today a new code came up- P1309. I had the guy drive the car for a while and then...

    P0303 and P0305

Hey guys, I've already sold my car, but I promised the guy that I would fix things if it broke in the first week or so. Well, just my luck- the day he drove it home, it starting misfiring. The code is a cylinder 3 and 5 misfire. I've swapped the coil packs and injectors with ones from other...

    2000 Lincoln LS, under $8,000

I had to buy a smaller, more efficient car since I drive close to 1,000 miles per week in my job (field sales). So, I bought a Diesel Jetta getting about 45 mpg. I'm eager to sell because I don't need to have two cars. Actually, I also have a project camaro I'm building, so in reality, I...

    double din

Here is the link to the item- it looks like I paid 695, not 650. But, the transaction was still under $800 with the squaretrade warranty that I bought with it. Ebay link The unit works flawlessly. Another reason I chose the D1 is that the lockout bypass is simple and works very well, as...

    Help me diagnose my transmission

Its a 2000 v8, and it just rolled over 100,000 miles this weekend. It's really strange how it works for 20 minutes or so before anything happens- leads me to believe it is heat related?

    double din

I just bought and installed a pioneer AVIC-D1 (double din) nav system for 650 buy-it-now on ebay. I bought a 2 year warranty for it, and it was still under 750 total. Best deal in the world for nav systems. I love it- it works great.

    Help me diagnose my transmission

Welp, I'm here again with the next problem of the week. I feel bad that I never have anything to contribute to this website, since every week the problem I'm encountering is something I've never dealt with before. Anyway, on to this week's problem.... My transmission is making noises and...

    Clockspring question....

Thanks! I was careful not to let the flame get anywhere near plastic, and it doesn't look like I melted anything. I was just getting frustrated since I had already stopped once to go buy a T-50 socket. I read that somebody just yanked on theirs, but that didnt work for me. Jumpman: Just...

    29.99 for coils

Is there anything wrong with these coils? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33689&viewitem=&item=160041204373 A set of 8 would only be around $160, but is motorcraft a good or bad coil maker?

    Clockspring question....

Just to update the thread, I replaced the clockspring and it fixed the light. I didn't have a wheel puller, so I heated the metal of the steering wheel up using a propane torch on the lowest setting, and the wheel almost fell off. I wouldn't call it a stress free fix, but it was very...

    P0156- O2 Sensor B2S2- Cat Converter?

Hey guys, before I get into it, I just want to thank everybody for all the help I've gotten in the past on this site. LVC is the only thing keeping my car on the road! Now, on to my next issue- P0156. I've been dealing with an intermittant misfire that seems to have finally been fixed...

    Clockspring question....

I've done quite a bit of searching to figure out that my airbag light (blinking 3-2) is probably the clockspring. I've also found the guide to steering wheel removal, so I'm all set. My only question is- if I pull off the steering wheel, can I look at the clockspring and tell if it is broken...

Check Advancetrak? Maybe just add Brake Fluid

I wouldn't use the word "fact". Brake fluid has been my culprit in Advancetrak lights. It's happened twice since I've owned the car, once because I changed my brakes and lost some fluid, and once because I improperly bled the brakes. Each time, the light came on when the fluid went low, and...
