Anyone change a lower seat cover before?

Care to give us a step by step on how to accomplish this? I think there are quite a few people on here who would love to know how. My main problem looks to be getting the side air bag off. Also, do you have to remove the back from the seat to do this? Or do you need to make sure the seat...

Anyone change a lower seat cover before?

I tried last week. Didn't get too far. I used a couple of pairs of pliers to pull apart the hog ring clips underneath the seat, then folded the leather back. There are more hog rings in the crease of the seat. Easy to remove, but they won't be easy to put back on without the special pliars...

    clearance issues after changing rotors

Yeah, i put the factory (those hideous chrome 5 spoke non-sport ones) rims on and tightened everything down. They don't actually rub as the wheel turns, but they're just close enough to make marks on the caliper paint. I guess i put on too many coats haha. I'll keep an eye on them, but...

    clearance issues after changing rotors

Well the pads fit over the rotor once everything is assembled, and the rotors are the same thickness. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't it the caliper bracket that doesn't move? The caliper slides back and forth along the bracket so that it can stay tight to the rotor. As the pads wear down...

    clearance issues after changing rotors

So i spent the afternoon replacing my rotors, cleaning up my wheel wells and replacing front brake pads. I also painted up the calipers while i was in there - red for the caliper with black for the surround bracket in case you're interested. So here's my problem, I put everything back...

    What is aluminum?

alumirust Here's something bizarre - I know the trunk lid is aluminum because I couldn't get my GPS antenna to stick with it. The interesting thing - i have a couple of little rust bubbles starting on the trunk, 2 to the left of the DS tail light and 2 on the top of the hood. Correct me if...

Speed Sensor Wire.. can anyone help

I think that's the one that I tried hooking into, but it didn't work. I just gave up on it and rely on satilites only - but it's never gone down. Only annoying thing is the intermittent "Check Speed Pulse" on the screen.

    favorite upgrade

I agree with Aserrano, the lip is the best visual piece to add (on a non-LSE bumper anyway). Makes the front end look a lot more sporty and yet it's flexible enough to take punishment unlike fibreglass body kits. And yes, Aserrano is the first one to have done this and we should all...

    Mach 1 chin spoiler

Well I just spent 3 days in the snow on holidays and after going through snow banks and stuff the piece is still on strongly. It hit a couple times on snow banks and seems to be fine because it is flexible, but that isn't to say you couldn't rip it right off if you popped over a big curb or...

    Mach 1 chin spoiler

I'll have to measure the piece next time i'm outside, but from what I remember it's about 3 1/2" deep at the widest part. It gets narrower towards the wheels though. And yes you're right, with the end piece I was trying to leave it longer so that it would give the end a finished look. I...

    Aserano- lowered w/mach1?

I got the idea from Aseranno haha, and I think a friend did it for him. I just posted on the other thread with some really bad night time pictures, but it's something to look at until the sun comes up I guess. Anyway to the question at hand, I measured ground clearance on mine, stock...

    Eibach Pro-kit Lowering Springs

I've actually used them all summer, but took them off for winter up here. I went with either 245 or 255, dont remember which. What would happen if I lowered the front and left the back stock? The back looks lower than the front right now anyway (I had another post about this at one point)...

    Mach 1 chin spoiler

Ok if this worked, here are the pictures in the dark. Note that #1 my car is filthy right now and #2 my headlight eyebrows aren't' white, they are a bit reflective, so with the flash on the camera they end up looking photoshopped haha. FYI the ground clearance on stock suspension with stock...

    Eibach Pro-kit Lowering Springs

Question, the offset on my 18s is +40, and it seems like they stick out far enough that with a 1" drop they're going to rub a lot. If I look at the side, the rubber is almost flush with the side of the lip of the fender, so I'm expecting a lot of rubbing if I do it. This is only on the rears...

    Mach 1 chin spoiler

Yeah I know, I know still no pics. I should have snapped them the very first night. Problem is that it's dark when I go to work and dark when I come home (thank you very much daylight savings time) and I really don't think it'll look good with the flash. Since tomorrow is saturday I'll get up...

    KKM Intakes $80 shipped

Ken, I was looking at the eBay auction and the parts on your site - but I have a couple questions. Are the parts that come with this intake really only a cone filter (and by the way can it be re-oiled to be reusable?) and an aluminum adapter bracket to help it mate up with the stock...

    KKM Intakes $80 shipped

These auctions are just for the cone and attachment from the electrical connector right? Will this really make a difference from the stock airbox, or do you need to get new piping (the full intake) to notice performance gain?

2003-2006 fog lights for sale if anyone is interested

Do they come with the bulbs? I would need to do the conversion from an '01 but its something i would like to do, having the bulbs so i can splice them in would be useful (and do you have the harnesses for the bulbs available too? Lastly, how much for shipping to Canada? (postal code T3G2Y6)

    Mach 1 chin spoiler

As soon as the sun comes up I'll go out and get some epoxy to finish the ends off properly then I'll snap a bunch of pictures. One of the lovely benefits of living in Canada in winter is that it's dark when I go to work in the morning, and the sun has already set when I get home at night, so...
