6spd TT Nitro LS

funny you ask.... I was looking at buying a T5 bell housing for the 05-09stangs..... same motor that they bolt the 5r55 to :) but that would be for a t5 5spd..... and frankly I dont want to cough up 125 bucks for nothing if i cant get it to work
 
Wut about the getrag 226 from BMW 540i ?? I almost bought a 6spd 540i.. and ended up buying my LS6 back instead.

If u ever get a 6spd LS then Ima do the same thing ! but if I do keep my Getrag I would def need a shorter throw shifter. I was told some short throw shifter for 05+ stangs would work with some minor modifications.
 
the fab work is only half the issue...

re u referring to the shifter or the tranny conversion ?? As far as the tranny I guess we have to mess with the car's computer n stuff, right ?? A big zit in the a$$
 
right - converting the PCM code to not need the all the sensors from an automatic and add in the manual - is not something we can do. Either SCT can reverse engineer it to that level and make it work - or this project is a non-starter.
 
SCT think they can do it. Use a ZF 6-speed from a Jag or Land Rover. It could be that you'd have to manually shift and just use the computer to moniter and adjust line pressure. It'd take some playing with.

Thats for LS8s. What about manual LSs ? it should be way easier I guess.
