Cool options no one knows about the LS's.

Ok so I have seen through looking through these various threads, alot of options that us owners never knew we had with our LS's. So I figure why read our manuals when we can start a small and easy to use database in here of the various bell & whistles we found in our LS's that we didn't know we had.

1. Pushing heat/cool button for seats turns them in auto mode and ties them into the main climate control.

Anymore good ones? It seems Lincoln put about a billion little features in these cars that most of us don't have any idea we even have.

How about holding the unlock button to roll all the windows down from the remote key chain? Or the usual turn the key to the right in the door lock to shut all the windows. You can play with the setup menu in the car to turn things off like the lock chirp etc.

Push and hold both the Reset and A/B trip buttons then turn the ignition to Run (past accessory) but don't start the car.

Look at the display. You can use the A/B (right) button to cycle through the display menu.

I've posted this a few times:

Test the audio system by push and hold presets 3 and 6 simultaneously.
The system enters a speaker test mode which sends tones to each speaker.

While the speaker test is running hit the presets for other information and tests. Pressing the 'Tune' button cycles through some of the displays.

Speed sensitive radio volume is neat. The best way to find all the neat tricks is to RTFM.

I just discovered that one last night I sware I never would have thought to hold down the volume button for 5 sec.

Yep, holding the unlock on your keyless sends them down and also opens the moonroof, turn the key to the right and the opposite happens. Just tried it, works like a champ, wish it was summer.

ya, if you hold the unlock button on the keypad/remote thing with your key, the windows will all roll down... then if you put your key in the key hole on the handle, and lock it (turn key to the right) and leave it, the windows will all roll up... i got an aftermarket car alarm/starter, and this option still works... i just gotta keep hitting the unlock button instead of holding it down though

If you press the set button for the seat then press a button on the remote entry then press 1(if thats your seat setting) every time you push that button your seat, mirrors, and tilt will go to that setting

for example I pressed set, then the unlock key on the remote entry , then the number 1. now every time I unlock the car it goes to my seat, mirrors, and tilt settings

its cool

If you have the 6-disc in-dash stereo, you can hold down the "Load" or "Eject" buttons to Load or Eject all six discs at once.

Anyone know if this works with an '02? Of course my seat memory only works 50% of the time so I shouldn't be holding my breath.

Works with all LSes.

99% of this stuff is in the OM...........

You know I am not sure I understand this feature, since you can hear the flasher is rather loudly anyway. I discover this option one late work night, on my way home.

"Turn signal chime-Sounds when the turn signal lever has been activated to signal a turn and not turned off after the vehicle is driven more than 0.8 km (1/2mile)."
