Someone with a Gen 2 should know what it is. I have only removed Gen 1 tanks and couldn't tell you what's on top of yours. Try to save that tasca parts link because some things are cheaper than most others are and some are way higher but they have the real deal OEM stuff. No off brand on anything. That's where I got my headlight housings and grille from. Usually when you order from them, they will always ask you for your VIN# so if you ever call them, have that on hand. They respond to emails quick too. Shipping is normally 2 days, 3 tops.

I am about to check the wiring on my crank sensor, because they were ripped out of the plug but still had the metal pins on the ends of the wires! So I went to the junk yard and got a plug for it and plugged the pins back inside of it! It took me a couple of times to get them right so I dont know that burned up my crank sensor or something close to it or if it fugged something up by trying to start it with the wires crossed a couple times! Once I seen it would not start I swapped the wires around and it started! But I am going to check that out also because it is getting that code also!

Also check your fuel pressure at the rail.

Check it at idle and at part throttle....were you having your issues.

Well thanks for all of the help guys!

I have it running perfect now! I mean perfect.

It was something so simple too. The two wires in the crank sensor are the ones that I had to slide into another plug because my harness was missing the plug but still had the metal pins on the end of the two wires. Well when I slid the old wires and pins out of the plug that I was going to use I must have broken the little metal retaining tab inside one of the holes! It is supposed to let the little pin on the wires "click" into the plug and keep the wire locked into the hole! Well with that one tab being broke it let one of the wires back out of the plug about half way!

I had another plug sitting on an extra crank sensor that I had so I put the wires and pins into that plug and it runs sooooo gooooood now!

I finally got to see what this car will do! I have had to get out of it twice already while launching from a stop because it really is trying to kick out from under me! I have had 7 Mark Viii's, so I know how to drive them! But this one is trying to get away from lol!

I don't think this tranny is shifting quick enough though! I like the ones that break loose the rear tires when it hits second! This one is'nt slipping at all but it is weird, has a pause between first and second! Sounds almost like a stick shift going from first to second!!!!

Well guys thanks for all of the help getting me going! I have it running right thanks to you all, so now I have to get it running better than right thanks to you all!

I'm glad you got that damn thing running. What happened to you the other night? No fan on the porch lol.

Me and you need to find a strip and lets put that 97 to the test against this 95.
 
We can do that whenever! I got it running right now I need to fix all of the dents that I put in it while I was towing and working on it! I dented the rocker panel twice and right above the rocker panel (right below the moulding on the passenger side at the back wheel) once while I was towing it on that stupid dolley! I will be doing that right after Christmas! That, plus a whole fresh paint job!!! Nothing really wrong with the paint except for where I messed it up and where the grill was messed up from the previous owners son!

But like I said we can take see which one will get which whenever you want! It is pretty quick. My little brother was messing with me in his '97125k mi. Base Model last night and I dusted his arse really bad!!!

Let me cut my hair and jump into the shower and I will head out there with that fan! It's one whole piece too, lol! My bad man, I'll holla at you in a few!
