Your fan settings should have been adjusted with the dyno tune. And why don't you have a lower temp t-stat, it's cheap and it's one of the first mods anyone should do. My GTO with a 160 degree t-stat and adjusted fans runs 170f on the highway and it doesn't get above 190f in traffic/city.

Kirk made 270 rear wheel, just pointing out that cars are getting faster these days. As for your Mark, it's a fast car but not on the same level as a LS2 GTO mod for mod.

Looked more like a cheap shot than a contributing comment. And a Modular will beat out a LS with all things being equal. Equal years, equal cubes, and equal mods.
Not only comments have to be technical. I'm a Mark VIII fan, been in the Mark game since 99 but this platform has its limitations and is getting old... as for modular vs LSx, not going to turn this thread into that but not too many racers have your opinion.

That's what turns me off and always has with cars. I like to buy things on a budget. I'm driving around a former $40K car that aint worth jack crap now. I bought it for the fraction of the cost new even with under 100K miles still. By the time I get done paying off the note on a GTO, now that car has high miles and aint worth crap in my opinion no matter what people say about their wonderfulness. Sure sucks when I could have put all that money into this car and made it like new again and even rebuild the motor. Sorry, I am an underpaid blue-collar worker.
But also know, I'm not offended by what anyone has said here. I'm pretty thick-skinned and I like my Lincolns LOL

Like wise I picked My Mark over my 03 Cobra. And when I bought the Cobra in 05 I picked it over a 6.0 GTO or a Camaro SS. I like taking something that very few people see value in and far exceeding peoples expectations. A 12 sec. Cobra, GTO, or Camaro is common place but 11 sec. Mark VIII's are rare. I've noticed the youngest and least knowledgeable ask were is the Cobra. But the more mature educated professionals say God I like that Mark VIII. Then when I ask them what do you think of the Cobra most would say what Cobra. They mostly state you see them a day long so you don't notice them. I know it cost more to build a modular but its a superior design. Sorry for being sharp with you 98LSC32V but you have stated several times that a LS is the best small block ever. I hate to see you slipping over to the dark side.
