ok peeps when i bought this car the fuel pump went out...i then replaced it with a walbro 255 and was working fine until last month. Then the walbro went out and i installed a new regulator and fuel pump a bosch unit. I dont get it last night the car was working fine and today in the morning i get into the car and crank crank crank and no start. I dont hear the fuel pump turn on, could it be that the new bosch pump went out? Its not even 2 weeks old. BTW my car is the one in the sig pic below a gen 2.
 
check fuses for the fuel pump?

could be a failed fuel pump, you might have just gotten a bad pump.

i would double check fuses before i pull the pump again.
 
are you using pumps specifically designed to be run in a gen 2?
you can not use just any old pump. it has to be the new style.
 
yeah i got the regulator and pump assembly the whole thing....could something else have gotten ****ed up by using the walbro 255?...i regret the ****ing day that I installed that pump I should of used oem.
 
you sure its the pump? try carb cleaner in the throttle body. if it wont run on carb cleaner check the crank sensor,
 
Check your FPDM. It's bolted to the support brace on the right side of the trunk behind the liner.
 
most likely its the FPDM i used the highly technical advanced search option and read about it so Rich is sending me one....Thanks Rich.
 
I am not sure how a Gen II pump is installed, but I had issue when I replaced mine. The original had a small section of fuel hose pretty much at a 90 degree bend. It failed. The new pump came with a new hose. But I installed it at too much of a bend, weeks later it failed.

Something to maybe consider.
 
If its not the FPDM then ill go from there but im trying to save as much money as i can....couple weeks ago i paid 190 for the bosch regulator and pump and my mechanic charged me 220 to bring down the tank so do the math.
 
dude killed me with the labor....thats why i aint calling him again....if i have to bring the tank down again im doing it myself.
 
Its very easy to do anyway. You dont even have to take it all the way down. I did mine with one jack at the frame and one at the tank.
 
yup thats exactly how im doing it if I have to bring it down....in which i dont think im going to need too....but you never know.
 
I think there's a couple of wires connected to the FPDM in the trunk that you can jump to see if the pump turns on
 
You can bridge the wires at FPDM plug to test the pump. No need to replace the unit only to find out it's something else.
 
Yeah Rich im just going to wait till i get home man...im not going thru the hasstle of bypassing the wires. Plus it smelled like something was burning so its gotta be the module.

Disconnect fuel pump driver module and jump power and ground to the brown/white and pink/black wires.
