This is cool, I wish my headlights didn't have the black sealant or I would have tore them apart a longggg time ago. I need a new pair to work on! very cool though Alax
Its still Do-able my old set had one that had black sealent I just baked it a little longer and lowerd the oven temp.

hmm maybe I will give it a shot one day, just scared to mess up my only set of headlights after reading some of the horror stories about the black sealant.

Would anyone would be interested in gen2 clear turn signals? I know you can use the fluorescent diffuser lens and that's what I did with my current headlights but it doesn't sit recessed like the amber lens do, at least how I did it
I'm not sure if it'd be worth it if only a few would be interested but If you are willing to make a few sets I could send you the amber lens to mold

I'd have mine tore apart as well but I don't like the idea of taking a dremel to the factor hid's to put in angel eyes, clear reflectors, etc. if they bake and pull apart then there's nothing in the way of doing that. Has someone else baked the gen II's and got them apart?

No problem. It might take me a week or so because I"ll be real busy once school starts tomorrow.
One guy tried to bake his but broke some parts in the process. It can be done, but it wont turn out better than just using a dremel. If by lense you mean reflector, yeah I can do it.
I made a second mold for them this week, the first ones had some minor defects, just need to take my time with them. Will try casting some more tomorrow.

Will do. I dont know if I said it or not, but I rushed the previous molds so I am doing another batch. I finished one mold today and just poured some casting resin into it, will check on it tomorrow. I will do the mold for the other reflector tomorrow.
I also poured one side of the mold for the gen2 reflectors, those were pretty easy to set up and look like to cast as well.

The current one I have on is a mclaren grille, out of production since 05. Check ebay or here for them to go on sale, but only like 3 a year exchange hands, if that.
I am all in for a set too when you are ready. Tax return came in today so we all know what that means

As long as your mods don't violate your local vehicular regulations, then no.
