Book of Enoch... that's what I thought. part of the TALMUD, (oral traditions), until 300-100 BC. Maybe the Jewish history isn't that far off. It speakes of other Gods,,, and Elohim being married to one. If I remember correctly... God's wife was Ashtoreth... mentioned many times in the Old Testament,,, during the time the Israelites were worshiping pagan gods.
Yes... most people of the Ancient Bible would be perceived as superstitious. Again... the "cloud by day... fire by night" thing. The point you miss... or refuse to accept,,, is that the Israelites saw God in EVERYTHING about their lives.
The mountain they went to, (Sainai),,, trembeled with God's Prescence.... and that's where the 10 commandments came from. To me... as "DARK" as the book of Enoch came from,,, there may be a history that most won't believe. I already said I won't argue that point... BUT IT IS "MOOT" BECAUSE OF WHAT JESUS CHRIST DIED FOR ON THE CROSS!!!
