So I was thinking of a daily driver and had the thought of a LS spawned by the recient crap around here.
I want something as nice as my Mark to drive and then while searching for a LS it hit me! Why not get a first gen or a base second gen!?? That way I can have what I am accustomed to but get good mileage still and not get upset when it gets dinged or scratched!

Starting teh search now. :)

For the price of an LS you could have one awesome stroker;)

Laser have you thought about switching to dimpled instead of drilled? I got dimpled/slotted rotors for the LS so I didn't have to deal with the possiblity of cracking like your drilled/slotted rotors have.

Aside from all the obvious, cooling helps too.

SSBC Big Bite set-up is one of the best I have been running on the wife's Cobra R clone, haven't had an issue yet. although 3" cooling ducts surely help alot both in cooling and keeping the cross drilled holes from clogging up with brake poo, and storing heat.

It may be something you'll want to look into for your next set of rotors.

Under NORMAL driving, brakemotive brakes are fine...Laser doesn't drive NORMAL

This vent is better only seen for the 05 stangs. http://store.kennybrown.com/files/05 Mustang Brake Duct.JPG

You failed to add the price is $179 and doesn't include the duct work nor scoops.

This is obvoiusly something most of the people here are NOT going to purchace, and it does both cool the brakes and the hub bearing, seeing as though the S197 hub bearing is sub-par for open track conditions for an extended periods of time.

Hence this is why comapnys like Griggs offeres a knuckle with a Porsche 969 bearing and Cortex offers another knuckle with a not mentioned bearing set-up.

The other option is the Griggs knuckle with the 99'-04' SN95 hub assy, which has proven to be way more durable in AI and AIX competition.

And my duct was a whopping free ninty free compared to $179

But coming from a guy that wanted to lean out a boosted car and such, I can see where you would know what your talking about, so I'll just go sit in the corner quietly with my hat on.
