LaserSVT 98 White Pearlescent Progress Thread

Thanks DR. now i have another project to add to my project, altho what you have done looks super badass to that stang

Its an idea not like he has to buy that one for 179. Come on now think alittle
Really? Just not quite grasping teh language? Dont give me that "But im using my phone" crap. Thats all Sapper uses and he can read just fine.
SVO said he made his own. I know its hard to tell since his chit always looks so nice but its not some mass produced store bought kit on his girls Cobra clone, he actually built it from scratch.

Id give my left nut for a setup like that but unfortunatly the Mark dont have the room. :(

It really makes you wonder about life sometimes, how good people like Laser have the shytiest luck, and yet people like Lincolnboy, who seem to have been taught at home by meth heads, still manage to have the survival sence to stay alive

like cock-roaches, dumb people just won't die

Lincolnboy is like alphabet soup. Every once in a while a word will make sense, but most of the time its just gibberish.

Solid comeback! Whew that one had me going! Take long to think up?

OAN, I was planning on running a meth setup for the Mark but pure meth is just so damn expensive! Almost $6 a gallon and I will use about 2-3 gallons for every fill up. I guess I will get a small ammount for track days but the rest of the time it will be Walmart brand water/meth mix to combat this heat in my intake.

I have been slacking some here. So lets see where we are at.
Alt blew out yesterday on the way home leaving me stranded but Sapperfire cam out and really saved my ass. Alt is now an uber bitch to swap now. The coolant x-over tube has to come out to pull the alt so that means burping the system and new o-rings. Oh well, the whine is worth it I guess. :)
Did the oil change today and also swapped both idler and tensioner pulleys to kill the cricketts. Pulled some oil out the blower to help reduce the spray under the hood. After that I cleaned up the engine bay some. :)

Maybe if you sectioned the crossover and welded some tubing in there to make it stick out farther toward the radiator to make more room.

I thought you already swapped those pulleys out a while back...hmm

Would have to take it out to the fan...the snout sits above it leaning toward driver side as you can see from the pix, there's not really any reason to reshape the cooling route just to make room to remove the alternator...now that we KNOW what must be removed to do his alternator R and R... It'll be smooth as shaved Asians

Not the tensioner.

I never really looked at yur pulleys...mainly just stare at that big hard blower...but my blower is still better..and mine was easily installed in the passenger seat...rofl

I started to cross section my crossover to get more clearance for the belt, but you don't get enough room to make it worth the hassle. There is just to much crap in the way.

Awwwwww... The poor guys with the blowers have a hard time replacing their alternator... :p

You do realize we're not going to have much sympathy for you, right? :D

Awww why not...
Actually, keep your sympathy...but you can give us $, that's always in high demand around here

Yeah, I know. The extra work is worth the extra grunt. Almost gave my grandmother a heart attack yesterday. Stuck behind a truck doing 15mph and when the opportunity arose I nailed it and when its squatted and lept foreward IDK what was louder, the blower or my grandmother!

Well I got the hood down most of the way today. Trimmed a little more on one brace then shaved down some of the throttle cable bracket. After that I got my blower motor working again. Used to have to smack it a couple times before the AC would start to blow. I hope it was just a loose connector.

If I can get a decient price tomorrow for my AR then I will order new OEM coil packs (found them for $18 each new!), underdrive crank, wideband, shorter belt, IAC and go back for another tune. :)

Alright, nods for teh mods.

Got my new slotted rotors in as I was sick of breaking the drilled ones.

Then my GT500 IAT sensor and pigtail showed up. Thanks again Max!

Then I stopped to get a 107" belt and a new IAC as well as some O-rings so I can get to the new IAT location.

Also just got done ordering my PLX Wideband, March underdrive and 8 new OEM coils. :wrench

I seriously hope that when you get it sorted out you will get us some track numbers. If it ever cools down below 100 here I will be going myself (after fuel pump swap).

Yeah, it will be going to the track in July. I just didnt want to run it at the track with the high boost. A few runs at WOT through the first three gears might cause it to go boom. :(
Also I really want the computer to know just how hot the incomming air is.

Hold off on doing your brakes till this weekend, when I come out to grab the rear end, I'll bring a caliper rebuild kit and some hardware so we can fix it the right way

I'm sure with over 100k those piston seals are cooked
