I am a Ford tech, and I wouldn't put money on it that the peice of tensioner you found is your noise still...

A tensioner being broken like that is not going to cause the squeal you were talking about. Maybe if the plastic top peice had broken too, but it appears to be in tact.

I would put money on the fact that you still have a toasted bearing. Please, please, please pull the main caps off and look at your bearings, I'm sure you will put your mind to rest.
 
That car is going to be brand new when you get through with it.

And todays good fun was degreasing the valve covers then wash them then sand them then wipe them down then tape them off then paint them. :D

covers look good but you should have went to home depot and bought the rustoleum hammer finish silver that stuff looks almost dead nuts to the factory cobra valve covers. still look great though.
 
The idea was to match it to the blower. They are not done yet though. The upper bolt holes need to be touched up and I still have to add a few clear coats but I am out of paint and cant get to the store till Saturday. The covers will darken a bit and become much more shiney with the high temp clear I use. :)
 
So the motor that's hidden inside the engine bay will match, but none of the body panels will...it's an odd world
 
bill did you get my text i sent you the tracking number on the motor, i can email it if you cant read the text picture.
 
Same numbers I have on the stuff they sent me. Looks like the motor should be deliverd Friday at some point.

And Sapperfire, I was making sure what store had the color I needed and didnt notice untill tonight that VHT has two different silver caliper paints......... yeah, they are just a little different and the blower is silver with the valve covers being aluminum silver. I can darken them a little with the clear coat but the valve covers and blower will be ever so slightly different. :(

IDK, maybe I will repaint the blower Saturday too.
