My "custom" coolant crossover cap

Anyway, here's what I've got so far. Right now, it's just round on the top, but I'll be milling a hex into the top of it so I can use a wrench, or a 6-point socket, and never have to worry about rounding it off or using a set of vise grips on it.

I never even considered using the 1/4 drive hole. I just pulled out one of my favorite weapons, the big vise grips, and grabbed the top. No muss no fuss, off she comes.

I like the big vise grips a lot. You can make a mess with them if you are not careful, but you don't have to.

Provided the blizzard didn't mess the USPS up too much I should be getting my sample in the mail shortly. Be making chips the next day...

Lee, I sent you a picture of my drawing with the measurements to the email on your Facebook profile.

After reading this thread, I'm thinking I might make my own. I'm a machinist. I'm thinking I might engrave a little Lincoln emblem on the top of it. I already have a program for the emblem that I wrote when I was thinking about making my own trunk lock badge. I never got around to that, but I could scale it for the top of the cap.

Another machinist...
I have a Lincoln star in .DFX if you need it.

I wanted to bump this back up. They're back up for sale again!

Here's the 'For Sale' ad:
