Here are a couple craptastic phone pics of my new sub box:

I'm gonna mount the amp and cap (when I get a new cap) over on the side of the trunk where it dips in like behind the tail light.

Yup thats the ebay box...several of us have that same box including myself but i run a single sub.

Getting a 1000rms sub installed and the same box but ported.

Yeah it's the box from ebay, it is very nice looking but it sounds a lot different then my old ported box, it will take some getting used to. It doesn't hit as hard and the bass is quite different but at least I have a trunk lol. I wish I could have it ported.

ya i have it as well...i have two 2 12's in it and i kinda want to rebuild it to have more airspace..

You could have gotten it ported all you had to do was ask for it.

the guy can do dual or single 10" or 12" subs sealed or ported.

Go back to ported...i went to a sealed box and blew the sub from it not breathing correctly.

how did he port it. cause i thought he told me he couldnt port mine when i asked

ya'll got a link for this ? i got 2 12s in my trunk right now but this looks way way way better then what i'm working with

never mind found it

Were you guys told that for two subs?

I run single sub setups.

dont run a cap.

If you want real power add a second battery like a kinetic. caps dont really help much at all and are more for looks.

I still dont get why people like to run dual subs.

bass is mono...odd numbers are better.

I like running single high powered setups versus dual weaker subs. also if you blow, well you only have to replace one sub not two.

i like dual sub set ups they have always worked for me...combined cone surface area gives more sound pressure lol

They didnt make subs as strong back then as they do now.

Now with a single sub you can rub 2000rms to it and blow out windows.

I don't think I need to worry about blowing them. I have had them for a few years with this setup, minus the new box. I like the look of 2 subs versus 1.

true that but those bad boys usually cost upwards of 500 and i like the double sub look to...but in the end it comes down to personal preference and money
