windage tray goes in the oil pan. keeps oil and air from flying around in there. cuts down on foaming and such.
Gotcha. Seen them just didn't know what they were called! Thanks.
Lsx swap...6.0 lq9 with ls6 intake, new valve springs, cam and a th400 trans. Boom done.
Ban the blasphemer!
LOL
its the only difference from a 2v mustang oil pan and a 4v cobra pan
Caught my eye first, but that is a big gap between the door and fender. =/ Anyhow, seems everybody has pretty much covered it. I would suggest getting a Ford Racing high volume oil pump or a Gen 2 one. If you get the Ford Racing one, the pickup tube that comes with it, wont let the oil pan bolt up, so then you will need a Gen 2 pickup tube. Now, I believe some gen 1's came with the both the high volume pickup, and cobra oil pump, but I forget what years, but I know gen 2's have them. Bigger heads, with 16 more lifters, and 16 more rockers arms, need more oil. Wouldn't hurt to have the block checked out, and get everything balanced. Stock GT wiring harness, ecu, injectors, will work. Pretty much everything, from the heads up on a Mark engine, is what you need. Two, or three sensors need to be extended, iac, tps, and maybe something else? Have to check over it again and see. Reverse the polarity on the cops also, and also on the alternator. Also, IMRC deletes will be needed, or a window switch to keep the Mark VIII ones. Mark VIII throttle cable is also need I believe, or Cobra. COP valve covers, dohc timing chain cover, fuel rail. That's all I can think of right now. Brother is doing the same swap, but going forced induction. I myself may buy a Mustang (sure you seen the thread) and actually swap a 5.4 2v in it, pretty easy swap I hear. Best of Luck!
Lol Awesome! no pm's fine, but can i at least call dibs on that chrome grille? it looks really good and i have been thinking about just replacing the chrome trim on my 97 (grille and headlight trim) instead of repainting the fron like an LSC, sorry to hijack your thread. Good luck with the mustang, you gonna swap a cobra intake and headers on that engine before it goes in that sn95 or leave it as is ?
sweet! you gonna swap the IRS over too? that would be cool.
I could not believe how good the car runs... Not even a shake.... Cant wait till the lincoln stang VIII comes alive.....
