Official Stack Murder Mark Progress Thread!!!

It worked fine for me!

Cant wait to see that thing up close and personal!

Way to go Brandon... with a little help from darren!

Everything is easy Chicken... but easy and quick are two VERY VERY different things...

So I open the box to this..

Just jam the solenoid down here...

Welded some nuts on the bracket.

Then I hooked the cable to one end so I and see how it will pull.

Measure it out and crimp the other end, I used a chain link to hook it up to the door latch.

After all the wires are pulled through the door the next step is to mount the solenoid. Just had to shave away a little foam to make room for it.

I cut off the :q:q:q:qty stock battery clamps for some better ones and I attached a new power to the positive side for the door handles.

Its gonna be a few more weekends... :)

Got poppers ordered cause the kit didn't come with em... WTF!

I'm getting excited!

wow that looks like fun! good progress kid, maybe martin will fly you down to put his car back together lolol

kustomizingkid, Just wondering is it worth(meaning all the trouble for installing) switching over to the door kit if your door handle is broken or is it just easier to replace the door handle and be done with it? My brother's Mark VIII handle is been a pain to find and seems like it will cost near $200 so thinking of this as a alternative.

Get a used door handle, any color.
Paint to match.
Install.

Far easier then what he is doing.

WAY easier to just replace the handle... this is all about looks...

I think they would look so nice on my car.

Well guys...

I'll try not to spoil it for Brandon but some headway was made this weekend!

I got the poppers up to him when they came in on friday and he has been working like a MAD MAN all weekend.

I'll let him post pics and such but its all coming to fruition!

That car is gonna be slick. I have thought the doors would be good on several cars. And I have wanted to do lambo doors on the red mark forever. Sorry I know I just raised hell. But the car sits so low and the doors are so long. It would have to be done right and not some cheap :q:q:q:q. I've seen most of the universal kits. I'm sorry already I said it.:(

You may want to word that differently with Debi:D
agree!
