Thanks mang but no. Not taking any cash from anyone on this. People on here helped me save it once and I cant do it again. I will figure something out. If I get some of the extra crap sold then I can hold off for a bit and maybe entice the buyer back on the house.
 
I know I'm new around here but I'm very sorry to hear that. I don't know you from Adam but I can see how much you love your car and I know from personal experience what it's like to be in that situation. Here's to hoping it doesn't come to that...

maybe sell the blower or something off of your car that will sell quick, something that you could always buy later.
 
Sorry from up here in Vancouver Canada.. I've only been on this site for half a year and don't know you either. But you and a few others appear to be the biggest contributors on this forum by a long shot. I have enjoyed the write ups on both of your builds and have learned alot about the Mark8 in the process. I hope you don't have to sell.. but if you do I look forward to your next build!

Are you f*cking kidding me? I hope this gets sorted out Bill. I know you don't know me, but I've seen alot of sh*t on this board, I've been here a minute, I just stfu most of the time.

Go to some food banks man, I have done it before when we had to pay utilities with our last dollars. You'd be surprised by the folks who take free food from churches, etc. and don't even need it. If you got all your expenses paid for now, just go get food from somewhere, don't be prideful, it's stupid and you'll regret it.

Or, (please forgive me) be a stupid ass and sell the mark for 10k, then buy a cheap beater, then what? A few grand leftover? That sh*t will go faster than free KFC in Alabama. You'll need more money soon again, then you are selling your tools, and anything else you have? Fawk that, sell the tools now, what you gonna work on with no car? Your bike? Tools are easy as fawk to rebuy used. Cash in the guns at pawn shops, there's no true reason to need a gun anyway, more people die reaching for guns than they do saying "don't shoot". Get food, then go eat and see if you still wanna sell your ride.

Damn Laser, That blows! If I wasn't in the process of buying a house now, I would jump all over your car. I have the money but I don't want to make any moves until the house is purchased...plus with my 98 lsc,ford exploder,and my jeep srt-8 I am sure my girlfriend would drive me to the nut house:eek: Good luck and do what you have to do. You can always buy another one down the road.
 
I was just thinking, it may be a long shot but do you have a place around you who can give you a loan on your car title? Its just a thought and you would be able to keep your car but get some extra cash to get you by then you could always pay the money back and get your title. There are some places around me in PA that do that. I don't know how you would feel about doing that but it's just an idea:)

Those places don't give jack, a few hundred at best with really bad rates with the risk of losing a high priced car.

This could actually be a good plan. The blower would get you a few grand quick giving you time to find work.
 
Pulling the blower isnt an option. Car is worth more then the sum of its parts. There are countless hours into the cars tune to make it run like it does which is near perfect.
The only run issue I can think of is if its below freezing outside. I would like another 150RPM out of the cold idle to smooth it out but I cant add any more without effecting the warm idle. I am just anal about that stuff. I let the car run for a minute anyway when its ice cold and it never stalls or tried to stall so I guess I should leave it alone.


As for the car title loan.... no way in hell. I would lose the car. They would loan me $1500 and I would have to pay back $4500. Just aint worth it.

I do NOT want to sell this car but I dont have much choice with the way everything is going. I hate the thought of buying another Mark and then replacing EVERYTHING again to make it as good as this car is. The problem with being an adult is the decisions that must be made. :(
 
Wow sorry to hear that you might be selling the Mark... Ive often though of doing the same with mine but something always pulls thru so I dont. I hope you dont have to!

The efforts and time spend is priceless. But what you said at the end is well put. Once again hope it does not come to this, but in my mind it is only material at this point.
