scammed by member.......beware of GIPP

I sent him $130 for parts and got a whopping total of $4.55 refunded to me. The reason he posted his address is because he deployed to Fort Bliss in New Mexico. What would it take to take him to small claims?
 
If he is indeed in the Army, get together with as many people who have been scammed as possible and collectively complain to the CID at Ft. Bliss. If you really want to bring pressure, write to his unit commander.

You are so right.. People that are part of the US Services are entitled to pay all debts owed and seeing as his commander or whoever (sorry i dont know about rankings and what not..) obviously isnt aware of his debts, make it known. They will MAKE HIM PAY.

They made my friend pay his roommate $50 because he was short on rent when he moved and they made him pay like right away.. like the same day they found out.
 
U.S. Army, Armor, Cavalry Scout, Ranger school, 101st Airborne Division, Air Assault. But if anyone ever asked Id usually say Army Cavalry or Army Rangers.. The guys you mustve ran into were cooks, truck drivers, random non combat arms MOS's.. :D Does it really matter tho if they just state they were in the military? I never understood the behind the scenes hatred between the branches of the U.S military, One team one fight..
 
I gotta apologize getlemen. My statement was much broader than I intended. I was targeting the bitter attitude that I see in people that didn't have what they were expecting from their service and decide to bash the Military on the way out. I was targeting the lack of pride that I see in service members. I saw that in Willow's statement and was upset.

Missing Linc, your wright. I dosen't matter. We all have steped up to answer the call. And those whom have served honorable have earned their place.
 
Dang that sucks. Still no refund from gipp? I was going to jump on that ship too but went with CAI instead. Man that was a close call. This sucks for those who payed him.I'd be pissed. How hard is it to just be fair and do your part.

If you guys get his name I can look him up, His Chain of Command can't force him to pay anything, the only way that can be done is through legal. PM me if you need more information.
 
I'm glad I didn't buy that engine/trans from him. Or I guess I should say, glad I never sent him any money for his engine/trans.
