Yeah, unfortunately the local Ford dealer in my town, Vineland, NJ, Illiston Ford, wasn't that very helpful already with my experiences with them. I initially paid 100 for a "DEEP" diagnostics test, that actually told me MUCH less then i ALREADY knew from my mechanic and this site. The parts desk associate basically told me my car was a piece of crap....and the service desk virtually ignored my slip for about 25 mins before ringing me up. So, yeah my experiences with them isnt that great...

Yeah, my experience with my local dealership, Illiston ford, in my town, Vineland, NJ, wasnt really that great of an experience. The charged me a 100 to do a "DEEP" diagnostics test that literally told me less then what i already knew about the car from my mechanic and this forum. The parts associate basically called my car a piece of crap, while the service desk ignored my slip for about a half an hour before they actually rung me up lol....yeah not the best service, and they basically made it clear that they didn't like working on a Lincoln LS's.
 
Just got offered 3500.00 for the car as is...what you guys think?...orrr 346 for a programed ecm + 12 to shop, plus whatever a locksmith charges to do parameter reset

Did end up selling the car....thank you guys seriously for all your help, i liked the car alot, but couldn't afford the issues...

Sometimes it's best. Hope you get a better one,preferably 2003 to 2006,with low miles. don-ohio :)^)

changed cops and plugs ...states thin wire plugs my new cops were Kyocera plas but no change to running problems after installations i have more interference from my led headlights ...my question beyond this is what is called PIV (peak inverse voltage ... like batteries when I was growing up were 200 cca now there like 850 cca lets assume someone goes poking around with an old fashioned trouble light I believe the PCM uses drivers big power transistor packs to handle loads outside the box I imagined a poor misguiding of Cops and questioned the power curves a poor running vehicle with no resolution on the throttle ….when I turn the brain off it runs fast on the first run but steadily diminishes following starts
