Waiting Room

Care to elaborate on your process? I couldn't locate that polisher for the price you got it for on Amazon.

I got it "used" on Amazon, it was just open box condition. I don't think it was ever used. I'm sure another one will pop up soon.

For my process, just look up some of Larry Kosillas videos on youtube. Without getting too much into detail.. Clay before you polish if you need it. For polishing, start with the roof in 4 sections, then hood in 4 sections as well, ect.. Use a snake motion up and down then left to right. Start on speed 2 then go up to 5 or 6, end on 3. I seal right after I finish a panel, seems to save time. Takes about 3 minutes a section. Remember to fully work the product in.

Gonna need some sandbags or a canoe if this rain doesn't let up soon. Too much water too fast, drainage systems overwhelmed.
Might have to jack the LS up on stands in the garage by this evening if it doesn't stop coming down this hard.

Re-arranged some teeth last night backing up my buddies.

Nursing one broken left hand ... one less bar in town to go to.
... didn't really like that bar anyhow, Fn country music bars.
If it wasn't for the cleavage & skirts, wouldn't be there in the first place.

Time to crawl back in my hole for a while.

Nice shoes........ :p

A little overkill for someone talking smack about your crocs lol.

Bar preference for me tends to be one that doesn't have a music preference, just a jukebox and let the patrons choose. A place to gather and simply drink.

True I have seen that BUT those are not mine.
... mine are pink! lol

just kidding, don't own gardening shoes. I drive in my socks.
btw: talking with TransX about getting into one of their trucks on a dedicated route that puts me back home every 4th day.

A-Rod banned for 211 games, thoughts?

Would be a fan of zero tolerance myself. The fact that he is appealing the suspension is absurd from what I've heard and watched in the news. They're already getting paid a stupid amount of money for playing a game that many are brought up believing is a game of integrity and passion. Eat 'em up Tigers!

So I ended up getting a fair amount of coolant onto my serpentine belt. Hosed it off right away with a mix of water + few drops of car wash soap (not ONR). No noises or anything since then. Should I be worried?

Sweet 36 pack there Chris, next time you need Microfiber towels check your local dollar stores,
I kid you not. I grabbed a handful of the ultra fine blue ones and there is nothing wrong with them.

I think we all managed to get a little on while doing cooling system repairs, I was somewhat concerned about it as well but as long as it was washed off right away it shouldn't be a problem.

They say not to use any sprays on belts like dressings and such but I to this day still use on of my fathers old trick he taught me and that's either a bar of soap or candle wax, hold on inside and side of belts when its running at idle speed and quiets it all down like new. Of course best thing is always to replace belts when worn.

Thank you gentlemen.

Being at 10y/150k km, I believe I might be due for a belt change. How does one determine when a belt is "worn?" Mine looks OK. No cracking or visible wear, it doesn't look scuffed.

Not like it's a timing belt ... if it's not noisy, not cracked or dry, it's fine.
Fresh belt is always a good thing of course. It's on my list as well. Old but looks/performs just fine.
