What did you do to your LS today?

yea the sound is sickk , i cannot really enjoy it to the fullest because I have to fix the harmonic balancer but once fixed ima floor it lol

I wish my dad liked cars and would do stuff with me, but I was never into them until i got my first car, happened to be an LS. Stumbled on this site and read for days. Sooner than anybody knew it, I'm obsessed haha

Ordered 19" Niche Targas. Here's a teaser with 18s being tested to fit. They fit like a glove one size too small over the Jag bbk. I measured about .060" or 1.5mm clearance between the drum of the wheel and the caliper. This was too close for comfort considering everything is aluminum and it may be tracked at a later date. Note that the packaging is still on the wheel I wasn't risking the $200 or so on test fitting just to dent or scratch one of them.

Size details:

Niche Targas M131 (Silver Finish) ordered through MHT Wheels.
18 x 8 et 40 (Pictured below)
19 x 8.5 et 42 (Available)

Oh and got these bad boys installed recently at the expense of a rear link bolt and a front end link because it seems like the only way to get them off is to cut them. Was unsure of setup procedure but compared to stock, each coilover was set to be 2" shorter than the stock coilovers. Going to be interesting to let her off the jack stands

Man, that is close

Any other 18" wheel would work considering the STRs come with both 18s and 19s. These are special. Because of the simulated lip, they have that emboss on the drum making it more like a 17" wheel.

damn those targas are beautiful , 19s would be perfect on this car , im stuck between these and the niche milans , how much were those coilovers ?

Nice, but should have to redo them put the Lincoln Star on the face of the caliper...

Still.... Very nice!!!

In storage, go to start and run it up to temp today, sitting for at least 2 weeks since last restart .... Check Engine light comes on.
Popped the hood, Engine still there, reset with OBDII reader, problem gone ... looks like bank 1 after CAT O2 sensor.
Thought I had reset this same code this past spring. Most likely time to think about new CATS and Sensors.

OR .... sell the LS and get that 2009 Nissan 370Z Nismo that keeps coming up in my dreams at night.

I read that those O2 sensors are pretty durable and usually they are throwing a code that points to something else. Doesn't necessarily mean the sensor is bad; they often get replaced without really needing it. You might want to search on the code.

Haven't really showed my face around here. Just passed 80k

Been car shopping. Still not sure what I want. Was hoping to make a decision before the new year, but I went outside to a small puddle of coolant yesterday. Was hoping I wouldn't have to deal with the cooling system but such as life. Might wait until spring to sell.

Removed my reflectors. (Go me). Easy as pie. Re-seating them was a bitch and a half. You need to clear SOME of the old glue out of the way to ease installation.

Also shattered my already busted grille. (Dammit)

Just finished doing the same to wife's LS. $1250 for parts. $700 for labor/front end align. Just had tie-rods & upper/lower links installed. Did all other parts install myself. Then changed out 16in rims & tires for 17in. Best Cooper tires available. What a difference in ride/handling & tires are REAL quiet! Dry traction/cornering terrific, wet traction superb!
Caliper painting next in spring. New cats next spring also, before they are needed!

Was pretty close to trading it in on a 2013 Chyrsler 300... Washed it today, now I just don't know anymore... Not sure if I'm ready to get rid of it just yet.
