What did you do to your LS today?

OK, I was gonna try and stick with the more natural yellowish light color but, I think you've sold me on the LED color like this. As long as I can get the beams to project the way I want.

The LEDs are 6000k and my HIDs are 6000k but id go for a 5000k for a cleaner whiter look , I took a couple vids to show you how the 80 watt leds look and project light , I took it out for a spin last night and was lighting up the street with the combo I got going , the 80 watts are really bright and produces a good output for about 2 car lengths until it becomes totally useless , but like I said I only did this for cosmetic reasons , the HIDS do all the work when going for light output

this last one is for anyone thinking of 3000k fogs , I still have them and love them , the low beams were ddm tuning which I no longer have

Ghost, your LS looks hot man! Nice clean look and the black wheels ties it all together nicely.

Reinstalled the stock intake so I could get a smog check on Thursday. Stupid People's Republik........

Looks like you maintained the VOL light pattern with those LEDs.

I dont know what VOL means haha , but you can see on the videos that they shine bright ,even during the daytime on a really sunny day

Going to Menard's here in a few to plastidip the rims black with a chrome lip. will post pics later today.

check out the vids i posted , but the light output is nowhere near a regular high beam bulb , it does well to about 2 car lengths , paired with HID low beams thats all you need , cosmetically they are awesome

Changed cabin air filter, cleaned and oiled the K&N filter, replaced those swollen lug nuts, inspected all the front end suspension bits, and a wash.

Getting ready for summer.

VOL stands for Visual Optical aligned Left. The pattern has a sharp cutoff on the left side of the beam field. The left side cutoff is used to align the headlight properly. When this is done, the light fills mostly the area to the center and right of the road. The left side cutoff will spare the oncoming traffic to the left of your car from the effects of the direct beam but provide much more light to the right and center of your car as you travel down the road. You can see your beam pattern goes up at an angle to the right and will fill the field to provide the light yo need to see down the road without bothering oncoming drivers.

oh gotcha thanks

I was falling asleep so I forgot this part.

You use the horizontal cutoff line on the left to align the beam vertically in reference to markings on a wall or a back board from about 25ft away. The ref mark is at the height of the center of your headlights. In theory, the horizontal line is supposed to be just below the ref mark. That will change with the lowering of your car though. As a simple rule, I adjust mine so as the car porpoises on accel and decel, the beams brighten the signs. I haven't gotten any flashes from anyone like that and I can light up the world with the highs when needed.
