What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I cleaned it. Still spiffy considering what it's lived through.

came home from school today to see that 1) my rear view mirror is hanging- completely off the windshield lol 2) i have 3 miles till empty and i can't start it up until i go for gas lol. i gotta glue the mirror back on later or over the weekend

Should be getting my 2nd pair of MB Quart 5x7's tomorrow. I ordered the first pair just to be sure they fit in both front and rears since the SonicElectronix site listed them as "not fitting" for my car.

The next thing on the list is to do my exhaust but I want another DI/DO muffler other than Magnaflow. I've had those mufflers on previous cars and didn't like how they muffled the idle and cruise sounds too much. I like to hear my exhaust no matter how far I am into the accelerator. Anyone use a different brand DI/DO?

If your looking for the throaty all the time sound, x-pipe and 2 SI/SO

Got my rear air springs installed today (thanks NoLimit!!!!!). It's gonna be nice not to have to worry about the rear end dropping for at least a little while longer. Installation was a piece o cake and I painted my calipers red just for the heck of it:D Also noticed I need new rear pads:( That will have to wait for next payday.

yeah i did. it was real easy and straight forward. actually took longer to wait on o'reilly's to deliver the rear end grease than it did to swap the gears and set them

I took more pics last night after it rained. I wanted the concrete to be wet and pull it out in the dark but obviously not in the rain. Anyway, this is a little more of what the SMD LED 6000K Side Shine Light Strips look like in the dark. Please excuse the additional glare from the lights. It's not like this in person. Looks much better when you're right there. Gives it an evil eye.

The strip is installed here and this is what you can actually see of it. Very thin and flexible.

I'm done with LED's now.

That is soooo cool! Makes me wish I had my '96 again so I could do that with my headlights. It's a tad more difficult with a GEN2.

I believe once you had the strip in hand, you might thing differently. It is 3/16" thick I believe and they do shine sideways. It might require you to remove the housing but maybe not. I guess I would just have to see one up close. If you do buy, get the 24" and you can make a cut where needed and then there will be power wires on the end that was cut off and it can be put inside or used as a tag light, etc... I have two short strips left. I just might not be done yet lol. I might put them somewhere inside.

I thought you layed them on the outside of the housing. I see what you did now and it looks much better. Still iffy on the daytime appearance when on but overall much better then the first picture I saw of them.

No lol, I'm not "that" hillbilly caprice.... I wouldn't do something like that where it would really stand out and be obvious when not in use. When you're 3ft. or more away, you can't even see that strip. It is applied to the underside of the housing and back about an 1/8th of an inch and the same on the side. I sprayed a microfiber rag with MAF cleaner because it leaves no residue and it cleans just as good as alcohol and wiped the underside of the housing and the side where the light strip was going to be applied. It hasn't budged since I installed them. Have to remember, they are "SMD LED's", not normal LED bulbs and plus, they're side shiners.

Even cheaper here but no power wires on both ends like the ones I got.

This is who I bought from and he is in Texas. Took 2 days and they were in my mailbox.

Nolimit looks great but imo it would be better if you did away with the vertical part of the led's.
And if your camera lets you adjust the aperture and exposure settings.

You're the 2nd one to mention doing away with the vertical sides. The pics are being taken with a Samsung Infuse and isn't the best for night shots, especially with lights shining at it. I have posted links from where I got them and they have good night pics. That's what they really do look like in person. The further away you are from it, the less it looks dot to dot, if that makes sense. I still need to cover up the vertical sides with electrical tape, just long enough to see what it looks like.
